Sophia first person

I wake up to the sound of beeping. It’s annoying. I open my eyes to find that I am in a completely white room, like the color of whiteout.

“Sophie? Sophie are you awake?!” I hear Helena scream.

    “Soph?!” I hear Ryan.

    “What?” I mumble.

“Oh good! Doctor!” Helena yells. I look around me, and see a huge table filled with baskets of goodies and vases with fresh flowers. I start to raise my arm to read the giant pile of cards, but something stops me, I look at what’s holding me back, and it’s a needle. I wince.

“Here’s Soph,” Ryan says, putting the cards on my bed. Thanks.

I start to read the first one, the one that seemed the biggest and longest. It’s in a bright pink envelope and it said my first name in beautiful cursive letters. It was also decorated with stickers, it was obviously from Melissa. There was also a small one, apparently from Shaylah. It was a sticky note that said “sorry”. whatever.

I started to get out of bed, but was quickly stopped by Dr. Howe.

“Sophia Rose… ah, you’re awake, good. You could’ve slipped into a coma if you stayed asleep.”

“How long was out for?” I ask, curious.

“Just a week. Which is excellent in your state. You crashed your car which only hurt you a little bit. The car, I’m afraid, is totaled. You didn’t need surgery or anything, just a shot in your left leg, which I’m afraid probably won’t be able to move for a few weeks, you have a ton of bruises and your leg might scar, but consider yourself very, very, very, VERY lucky Sophia Rose, you could’ve died.”

“So what do I do now?” I ask, instantly bored.

“Sophia, I brought you your MacBook Air and one of our new iPad2’s. We bought three while you were asleep, also your iPhone,” Helena said, handing me all three items.

“AGGGGH!” I screamed as a sharp pain went through my left leg.

“Sophie?!” Helena and Ryan hurried toward me, worried.

“It’s ok, Sophia. Your leg may do that a few times, so your leg can feel again, otherwise it’ll just be a boring lump,” Dr. Howe said.

“You could’ve told her earlier Doctor!” Helena admonished.

“I apologize,” Dr. Howe said, and left.

Ah how fun is Summer going to be now that I’ve got a busted leg?! I choked back an unexpected sob.

“Oh Sophie, it’s ok,” Helena reassured me. But it wasn’t my stupid leg. My parents. They’re dead. D.E.A.D. DEAD.

“I’ve got to get out of here Helena!” I screamed.

“Maybe they should put her in a psychotic ward or something,” Ryan suggested, and Helena shot him a look.

“Look, Sophia, if this is about your parents… well, look, you can’t change what happened. We’re all upset, don’t forget that.”

“Soup’s on!” A chubby lady in a dirty apron approached my bed. She carried a tray of food, I raised my head slightly to see what I had to eat.

“Don’t botha lookin’,” the lady said, “it’s carrot soup wit beans, a few saltine crackas ‘ere and there, a orange juice, plus a apple! For dessert you get rice puddin’. Sweet eh?” the lady smiled wide, showing her missing teeth. I smiled as nice as I could and when she left, I sighed.

“How long do I have to stay here again?” I ask.

“A few more weeks, possibly months. You may have to go into surgery after a while which may lengthen your time spent here,” Helena answered.

    Perfect.

Yay! I uploaded! Super short, I know, but I wanted to upload so bad! <3
