Chapter 2, Urge

I wake up, remembering from last time. I slept for 2 hours, I get up and my body felt sore. I walk out of the room, theres no one here for now. I thought about visiting Vix's work, I haven't been there in a while. I stared at the calendar, "When was the last time I ate.." I thought to myself. Its been a month since I ate something, I brushed away the thought and went to get ready to visit Vix's work.

I finished, and grabbed my backpack. I left the house, feeling awfully tired. But I had to visit Vix to see how they are doing. It took a while to reach the place and then I finally arrived. I walk in the bakery and see Vix finishing an order to a customer, "Next!" Vix says as they look over to see me.

"Mercury! You're here? Not saying in a bad way..I'm glad you're here.." Vix sounded happy yet embarrassed, "Yeah, just wanted to visit!" I smiled.

"Huh? Vix is this the one you're talking about?" Vix's coworker looked over at us, "Ahh—Uh yes.." Vix covers their face, "So you talk about me huh?" I smirked. "AAA-" Vix was freaking out(in a good way) "eueueueu" Vix was making some weird noises and I just went along with it.

"M-Moving on" Vix puts their hands down, "I'm glad you're visiting.." Vix grabs my hands. I smiled even more, "You can walk over the counter, if you'd like.." Vix pointed to the entry, I entered. "Now we can talk to each other better.." Vix holds me closer, I nodded.

"So what are you exactly here for?" Vix lets go of me, "Just wanted to say hello, and see how you're doing." I shyly say and they hugged me tight. "Awww..." Vix's coworker says behind us, "A.....you're still here?" Vix looks over, they seemed embarrassed. The coworker nodded and they smiled, "The names Fen! Nice to meet you!" Fen bowed a little, "My names Mercu-" I get cut off, "Mercury." Fen crosses their arms, "I know because Vix talks about you a lot." Fen smirks. "Haha..I do.." Vix kisses me on the cheek.

"I'm fine with it, it's pretty interesting!" Fen leans on the counter, "Ah, okay I was worried for a bit.." Vix sounded relieved.

Vix's work ended pretty early, we left the bakery. "We had a fun time!" Vix hugs me, I hug them back and we both start walking home. We mostly talked to each other.

Vix accidentally bumps into someone. "Ow.." Vix rubs their arms. The person walks back, "Apologize." They were demanding and disappointed. "I'm sorry.." Vix frowned. "Can't you have a better apology?" The person was rude, they started to ramble about random stuff.

-Vix's POV-

I pulled Mercury away into a alleyway and heard the person yell at us to come back. I looked back to see them walking towards us angrily. "Properly apologize." They yelled at me, I felt uncomfortable and did it anyways. "I'm very sorry for bumping into you.." I finished and they smirked. "Now, hand me over a little bit of money." The person sounded greedy. "Money? Over a fucking bump?" I get angry. The person started to ramble about random bullshit again. I grabbed Mercury's bag, and opened it and grabbed the knife. "Huh? What did you grab" Mercury as they looked back, I hid the knife behind me. "Something.." I felt the urge to hurt them. I couldn't help it.

"Are you guys listening? You bett-" I stabbed the person's head. I felt relieved a little. I push them down and continued to stab them repeatedly. Blood splatters everywhere.

-Mercury's POV-

I felt neutral of what was happening, I watched the blood go over me. I didn't care, the idiot deserved it. It goes on for a few minutes. Vix finishes and cut off the person's hand, "You hungry? Here..take it" Vix gives me the cut off hand. I nodded "Thanks.." I nibbled on it and ate it slowly.

I dropped the hand and only ate some of it, "Lets go now-" I noticed Vix's expressions was smiling at the dead body. I looked away and sighed. "Haha...I killed someone again.." Vix says quietly and chuckles, they start laughing and ripped the person's dead body guts out. They stopped, "Lets go.." Vix smiles and goes back to a frown. They grab my hand and we both went home together.

We arrived home, Lilith notices that we were covered in blood. "Clean yourselves, after that. Explain yourselves." Lilith sounded serious and disappointed. We both nodded, it was a odd day today.
