Chapter 5, A Day Where It Twists

-Lilith's POV-

I lay alone in my bed thinking about the others, a lot of them changed. Mainly Mercury, Mercury was a weird person when I first met them, reckless and crazy. Now their completely different, they seem sorta quiet now, and more sad

I didn't want to think about it too much, I got up and opened my room door to see Arcane staring at the window. I close the door, Arcane looks behind. I wave at them and they waved back.

"Do you want to go out for a bit?"I stood right next to them. Arcane nodded and grabbed my hand. "Alright, lets go!" I open the door and we both left.

It was a bright sunny day, me and Arcane started running to the city. We had a fun time, we eventually reached the city and looked around. I hesitantly tried to hold their hand but then stopped, "What am I thinking?" I thought to myself. We went into a gift shop and looked around for interesting things. I found a teddy bear holding a flower, "Arcane might like this.." I whispered and carried it to the cash register.

I payed with my own money and it was worth it, I look around for Arcane and finally found them. They were looking around, "Hey Arcane..would you like this.." I hold it out to them. Arcane looks at it, and grabbed it happily. They squeezed and bowed down a little in happiness. I put my arms out, for a hug. Arcane hugs me tightly. "Ah, you're so cute.." I accidentally said it out loud. Arcane shoots their body back, they looked surprised. "Ah I'm so sorr-" I stop while Arcane gave me a kiss on my face(heart face, their eyes are basically there, but its not showing.)

"AAAAAAAAAA" I screamed inside, we both stare at each other. "Lets go.." I was still screaming inside, Arcane follows me outside and we both stand in an alleyway.

We stared at each other awkwardly, "Do you like me?" Arcane writes it in their journal and shows it to me. I screamed inside again, I struggled to speak normally. "M-Maybe—Probably—Yes??——AAAAAHHHHHHH" I panicked until Arcane hugged me tightly, "Oh.." I hug them back. They write in their journal, "And so do I."Arcane held it out nervously and was shaking.

It got silent, I held them closer to me, "I wasn't expecting that.." I watch them let go of me. They wrote in their journal again.

"I liked you for a while, I didn't know how I'd express myself. I felt like you were the person I trusted the most. I love you even more." Arcane held out the journal and was shaking again. I put their arm down, and patted them on the head. I kissed them on cheek. Arcane looked happy we left and went home.

We arrived home holding hands, Vix and Mercury were looking at each other and looked at us. "Awww, did you guys fall in love." Mercury says with a smirk, "In all seriousness, I always thought you were both cute together" Mercury sways their hips a little bit. "Yeah we are in love.." I chuckled a little. "Aw, you guys are adorable!" Vix looked happy at us too.

-Mercury's POV-

I couldn't sleep for some weird reason, I woke up at 12AM with my eyes wide open. I get from the bed and left the room, I felt sore as I slowly went to the couch and sat down. I turned on the lamp on the small table.

It was bright and I looked away, I stared off feeling tired. But at the same time I couldn't fall asleep. 20 minutes pass by, I lay on the couch unable to sleep. I got up again, after that I felt light-headed.

I felt as if I was being watched again, but its real now. I was shaken by the thought of being watched again, I paused for a moment as it felt..silent?

5 minutes pass by -    I hear faint breathing, I couldn't comprehend of what it was. I dozed off, until I hear it get closer and closer I look back and,
