Chapter 20

Scar woke Cloey up. She yawned "Good morning scar" she rubbed her eyes.

"Nicole is waiting for us outside. She wants to tell us something" Scar informed her.

Cloey walked out of the cave and saw Nicole leaning on a tree. She was smiling and looked like she was daydreaming. Strange. I've never seen her smile like that before.

Scar looked puzzled and he walked to her. "So uh-''

He startled Nicole and she let out a little "eep!"

"Sorry, I just wanted to ask what it was you wanted to tell us" He sounded confused.

"I know where Venus is" Nicole spoke the words like there were thorns in her throat.

"That's great but why are you upset" Cloey asked.

"Are mother has it" she sighed.

"What? How do you know that?" Cloey was bewildered.

Nicole smiled and her cheeks reddened. "I was shown in a dream"

"Why are you acting weird?" Cloey asked

She didn't respond. She just kept daydreaming.

"Mom is going to be so mad" cloey worried. "She is gunna yell at us for running away and if we tell her why, she won't believe us'

Nicole then frowned "I'm aware"

"what do we do then?" cloey whined

Scar walked up to cloey and put a hand on her shoulder. "you will be alright" he looked at Nicole. "I promise"

Cloey saw Nicole smile and cloey calmed.

"it might be best if you were there at night. That way she's asleep and doesn't know you are there and that way you are able to steal the necklace." Scar recommend.

"what if she awakes?" Nicole worried

"Stop." Scar irritatedly spoke.

Nicole stiffened and looked slightly annoyed. She knew Nicole doesn't like to be bossed around.

"You need to stop worrying, that won't solve anything. You are always so worried about the future and not the present which is what matters most right now. What you do now affects the future Nicole. We are running out of time. If you have time to worry like a child looking for her mother, then you have time to save the universe."

Nicole looked away as if she was embarrassed of scars remark but then looked back at him trying to look angry.

Scar let out an annoyed huff and said "your stubbornness can wait. We have a universe and my family to save right now thank you very much"

Nicole didn't reply. She only sighed.

"what do we do know?" cloey asked.

"lets get back too the house" Nicole sounded miserable.

Cloey felt just as miserable as her. She missed their mother, but she's terrified of her mom finding them and questioning them about there journey. She wouldn't believe a single word and they both would get in huge trouble and won't be able to save the universe. Then everything would be dead. Cloey shuddered. But we must do this. For life itself and the afterlife
