Chapter 15

"Nicole! Are you crying?!" Cloey was shocked. She had never seen her sister cry before. "hey no...whats the matter?" She spoke softly trying to comfort her sister. She sat next to her and put her arm around her.

"im so scared cloey...what if we fail? What if we making a huge mistake? What i-"

Cloey hushed her by putting her hand on her mouth. She grabbed her hands and looked her in the eyes. "oh Nicole...there is no need to worry about any of this. They chose us for a reason. Because they knew we could do this and we are the only ones that can. Not only that ,we are being guided"

Nicole laughed a bit "haha! Yeah...sorry" she wiped her tears "I guess I let fear get the best of me'' she stood up and so did cloey

"well im here' Cloey spoke so safely "and I always will be and I will make sure nothing bad happens Nicole I promise"

For the first time in her life, Nicole voluntarily hugged her. She hugged back so tightly. She felt so safe.

"as much as I hate to admit it...Scar did make me feel a lot safer"

"Glad to hear it" spoke a voice from behind them"

"Scar!" Cloey smiled

"That's right" Scar chuckled.

"when did you get here? Why are you here? Wait! Did u see all of that" Nicole irately spoke.

"perhaps" Scar grinned. "but no need to fret. I wont tell a soul"

"better not" Nicole threated

"don't get feisty with me. I now know your weakness. Fear. But that's everybody's weakness. We all just need to learn that the only thing to fear is fear itself"

"Scar, what are you afraid of?" cloey asked.

"we don't have time for questions" Scar avoided what he had just been asked. "im here because I knew you fellers would need some help" he walks in front of them "follow me"

"I hate that guy" Nicole mumbled.

"oh and also" he holds out a necklace with mars on it. "im one of them" hes smiles

Nicole opened her jaw in astonishment.

Cloey smiled and jumped around. "you're a sky warrior!?" she shouted.

Scar nodded

"that actually explains a lot" Nicole admitted.

"follow me my friends I will lead you to the others" he started walking again.

"wait...if you know where they all are then why cant you just find them yourself" Nicole asked

"yeah and isn't ur name actually mars not scar" Cloey added

"yes but the name scar is better and oh that riddle I said. It was fake" he snickered.

"you're really getting on my nerves today" Nicole enraged.

"and it doesn't work like that. We need you to touch them. You see, the stars have given only you the special ability to awaken them from their slumber. I can only bring you to them but I cant wake them up you see"

"oooooh" cloey yawned

"tired much?"

"mhm" Cloey yawned.

"hmm. Okay take a nap. We have enough time." He looked at Nicole. "don't worry about a thing"

"shut up." She spat back

"hey. Its totally normal to have emotions. Its nothing to be ashamed of. I would be anxious too if I was in your shoes. It's a big thing. I knew you would crack at some point. I'm very proud of both of you for making it so far. I will be here the whole time to make sure everything is okay."

Nicole sighed and smiles. Scar finally showed his soft side. I guess we are even.

He retuned the smile "you should rest too. You have a lot ahead of you"

"right." She lied down in the grass next to cloey. She hasn't felt this safe in weeks. "you're...you're alright scar" she said before dozing off.
