The Forgotton Stars

Chapter 2

Nicole woke up the next morning feeling like her normal self again. She went to the kitchen and saw cloey, awake and excited like she always is. Her sister was so childish, and Nicole was so much more mature than her sister. To Nicole she was like her babysitter. Cloey was wearing a hot pink hoodie with blue jeans.
"cloey are you ready?" Nicole asked. She can see the joy in her sisters' green eyes. She guessed she was excited because its Friday and Fridays are her fun days.
Cloey screamed. "yeah! I've been re-"

Nicole shushed her with her hand over her mouth." Hush. Dad is still trying to sleep"
"I've been awake since she yelled 'its Friday!'" her dad said sounding annoyed.
Nicole nodded her head to motion cloey out of the door. They headed out of the door and into the car. In a blink of an eye cloey ran to the front seat. Nicole knew that her sister was always excited, but never this much. She thought that there must be something big going on, but she didn't bother asking about it because cloey would never shut up about it.
Nicole sat down and stared driving her and her sister to school. They both went to a huge school were elementary, middle, and high school was all one school.
On the way cloey asked "why are you so grumpy all the time? Brighten up a bit" her sister gave her a friendly nudge. Nicole knew she was always this way. She doesn't like to show any weakness of any sort. Just her personality itself was angry. "what do I need to brighten up for?" Nicole asked her sister
"well for one its Friday. And another thing is its bingos birthday today!" cloey replied
Nicole almost forgot about bingo. Bingo is there other sister that lives about 20 minutes away. Nicole knew cloey LOVES birthday parties. Could that be what she was so excited for?
"oh yes, now I remember" Nicole finally replied. Nicole looked over at her sister who still had that excited look in her eyes. "how old is she again?" Nicole asked
"how could you forget!?" coley sound surprised "she's 22"
Nicole felt a pang of guilt. How could she forget her older sisters' birthday? And she just remembered that she had a kid only a year ago. Her kids name is rain. Nicole liked that name. It reminded her of winter, and it was cold and rainy but the thing about Nicole is that she loves the cold and rain.
"I haven't meet rain yet..." cloey said sounding disappointed. Nicole remembered that the first time she meet rain her sister couldn't come that day because she was sick. Nicole had some sympathy for her sister. She knew how much cloey loves babies. "you'll see her later, remember?" Nicole reassured her sister
"yeah. I'm excited!" cloey said
"I can tell" Nicole laughed a little
Cloey laughed as well. They were almost at school. Nicole wondered if her sister would be okay if they were a little late to bingos party. Nicole had to stay after school for a school club.

Once they arrived at school, cloey jumped out and ran inside as her blond hair was blown in waves by the wind. Nicole chased after her as she tried running through the closed door in the front of the school.
"cloey are you mad!?" Nicole yelled at her sister
Cloey looked back at Nicole with nothing but excitement I her green eyes still.
"I'm sorry Nicole," her sister said "I just can't control my excitement"
"Yes I know," Nicole replied "but you can't just go off running away like that"
"I'm sorry" her sister repeated

Nicole just sighed and walked in the school to get her day started.
