IMAGINE LI SHANG PROPOSING TO YOU DURING YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY.
Everyone was having fun, your friends played some music at the park and people were singing to you, people were dancing and having fun, even the grumpiest of your relatives cracked some smiles.
Only that Shang had been kinda weird for the whole day - he had seemed kinda nervous. It wasn't typical for him and that's why you were worried, had something happened?
But as day was going to sleep, as sun painted the sky as orange, Shang finally approached you.
"Can I have everyone's attention?" he bellowed, and all the noise was suddenly silenced and you felt like everyone was watching you. Shang smiled to you, taking your hands in his own. "Y/N, you've been there in my darkest of times, you've been loving me and supported me... you have made me the happiest man in the room." he said, and you furrowed your eyebrows.
"Shang, what are you...?" you tried to say, but Shang silenced you by kneeling down to one knee, and suddenly you realized what was happening.
"Y/N, will you marry me?" he asked, and you stared at the ring he was holding and after that short moment of shock, you pulled Shang up from the ground and kissed him like you had never kissed him before.
And that was the answer Shang had hoped for.
