You remembered him coming under your window in the middle of the night, throwing sand at it - telling you that he was going to live as the infamous Flynn Rider, to become a legend. He asked you to join him, and you did, without a second thought.
It felt like a dream, him sitting there with you - you getting to travel with him. You had loved him ever since you were teenagers, and now you could finally have the chances to get close with him, express how you feel. You had been thieves together for so long, but you got a redemption upon meeting Rapunzel, the lost princess. You saved the princess, saved the Kingdom. And now you were official companions, like guards for the Kingdom, hunting down any bad guys and taking them to the prison.
Guards of the Kingdom didn't appreciate you at first, thinking you were just trying to find an opportunity to steal some treasure again, but as time went by, they began to notice all the good you did, and by now you had occasional chats with them as you brought new crooks through the gates, laughing at how you just brought the last ones and how they soon need bigger cells for everyone.
Everybody smiled at you two, greeted you, and Rapunzel running up to hug you whenever you came to visit was the best thing in the world. She saw the love between you and Eugene, and made little set-ups in order to get you two together. And eventually it started paying off, Eugene brought you flowers and told you that you looked amazing, his hand lingering on your cheek for longer than he intended.
Soon you felt like everyone else saw what was happening as you caught glimpses of children saying "mom, when is Y/N's and Eugene's wedding?" and their mother hushing them, giving you a sheepish smile.
He kissed you after a crook almost caught you, your focus had averted for just a second, but you had knocked them unconscious before they made even a scratch on you. But he had already seen you struggling, and he thought he'd lose you right there - and when he saw you laying on the ground, breathless from struggling, he just picked you up, held your face for a moment and kissed you.
And it was a whole new day in your relationship, a beautiful, blooming day.
