- You aren't sure how you managed to stay so late at Linguini's apartment, but your last bus had left ages ago.
- So Linguini asked you to stay the night with him.
- His apartment is quite tiny, but he puts a bed on the sofa for you.
- But then you spot a Mario Kart game on his shelf.
- "Hey, I've played that as a kid." you laugh, and he smiles.
- "I haven't played that in ages... I haven't had anyone to play with."
- Your eyes light up after he says that.
- "Could we play?"
- Linguini looks at the clock, then at the game, then at the clock again, and scratches his neck.
- "It's kinda late..."
- "Just for like one race?"
- Linguini shrugs and puts the game on his Switch and gives you one of the controllers.
- "Prepare to lose." you grin at him.
- And then you just sit there on couch cushions on the floor, playing that one race...
- But after you've finished, you play another race...
- And another...
- Linguini is super good in Mario Kart, and honestly you wouldn't have guessed it if you didn't see it yourself. Linguini isn't really a gamer type.
- He places traps in clever places and you always fall on them.
- Remy falls to sleep on Linguini's leg when you're at your 12th race.
- You play until you win, and then Linguini panics as he realizes that Ratatouille is opening in 30 minutes because Remy jumps on him and pulls his hair so he'd look at his clock...
- You help him leave to work, making sure he remembers everything, he promises that you can hang out in his apartment until you are ready to go home/when the first bus will leave to the direction of your own home.
- But when he comes back from work, he sees you, Mario Kart rolling on the TV as you have played it after he left and you passed out on the cushions.
- He pulls a blanket over you and shuts down his Switch.
- And even though he's exhausted from being awake throughout the night, it was his best night in ages.
