Chapter 29 Third Time is the Charm

Susie POV:

I sighed and woke up before stretching. I felt a kinda soreness in my back but it wasn't so bad. I shuddered remembering the bruises I used to wake up with more than 3 months ago. I sighed and bent back a bit before then hearing my phone buzz. I looked at it's cracked screen to see a text from (Y/N). I smiled and felt a little fuzzy inside from the text from my lover. It read: "Hey, wanna go out tonight?". I started to text back. "Sure, like out on a date?" I asked. "Yep" He replied. "Sure" I texted back before then realizing something. "Shit I gotta get clothes" I thought before kicking myself.

I sighed and then went to brush my teeth. I then changed and ran downstairs. "When we going out?" I texted. "Maybe around 5:00?" He asked. "Sure" I responded before getting my shoes on. "Dad I gotta go do some stuff! Cya soon!" I yelled. "But it's Saturday" He said confused. "Don't question me!" I said running through the door and down the street. The autumn air was crisp and cold and occasionally I'd hear a leaf or two crunch as I ran to the store. I quickly entered the store and grabbed some clothes. Firstly a nicer pair of black jeans, then after that a flannel jacket. I liked them both and checked out. I used the last of my allowance money and some change I had scraped together from off the streets to buy the clothes.

"Shit I'm gonna need an advance on my allowance" I sighed before walking back home. I had been gone for about an hour, usually I wasn't so picky bout clothes and stuff but hey I gotta look good for (Y/N). After all it isn't like he's gonna wanna date some hobo dressed bitch... I sighed as I then realized I have to do a lot to look better cuz I look like utter shit all the time. I walked in the house and ran up stairs before feeling the creak of a stair and then snap! My leg fell through the shitty wooden board. "Dammit!" I said before removing myself from the obstacle feeling the dry wood and a few splinters. I used my sharp long nails to pick them out, the small needles being removed from my leg. "Hey are you okay?" My dad asked. "... I'm fine" I said surprised a bit by his words. He then shrugged it off and went back to the couch.

I continued going up the creaky stairs dodging holes that were in the wood which was way overdue and in need of replacement. After storing my clothes I went back down and had lunch. After finishing I decided now would be a good time to grab a shower and afterwards go get ready for the date ahead.

Timeskip and (Y/N) POV:

It was about time for my date with Susie. I figured we'd go walk around a bit and then after a bit go hang out at Icee's. Sure the mascots were... odd to say the least but I suppose it isn't all bad. I went upstairs and put on a nice polo shirt as well as some jeans. I didn't bother tucking my shirt in cuz I knew Susie was well, she didn't care much for dressing up. I didn't much either honestly so it wasn't much of a problem.

I combed my hair, brushed my teeth and then grabbed my wallet cuz I assumed I was paying. I didn't mind though as long as Susie was happy. I walked down and got my shoes before opening the door and walking outside. The air was a bit more warm now and the sun had only barely gone beneath the tree lines casting long shadows. I looked at one and saw a blue glare making me instantly go on edge and reach in my pocket. I then realized it was just some shattered glass from a bottle. I sighed in relief and kept walking eventually reaching the town center where we were gonna meet.

"Wow someone is dressed up" I said seeing Susie. "Of course I am, ya wouldn't date some nasty bitch would ya?" She asked. "Even if you were I'd still love you. However you look kinda like a ravine couse your gorgeous" I flirted. I saw Susie's face heat up and she punched my shoulder. Well you must be part fist cuz your handsome as hell" She flirted back. Now my face heated up. "O-Oh your sucha flirt" I said as I looked down. "Hah blushy nerd" Susie chuckled before tilting my head up. "So, any ideas for the day?" She asked. "I dunno. I was thinking perhaps we walk around a bit?" I asked

"Sounds good to me" Susie responded before taking my hand and walking. It felt nice, her scales were very smooth and cold. It made me feel safe and comfortable. Like I could be with her forever. As we walked around we admired the sun set and saw the sights. The park, the apartments, some of which we did pranks on. Finally we went to the hill top. "The sun set is so nice tonight" Susie said smiling a bit. I liked it when she smiled, it made her look pretty. "Yea, however it's not as pretty as your eyes Susie" I said with a smile. "Your golden eyes remind me of a sun set but are 10 times prettier" I complimented. Susie definitely turned red from that. "Th-thanks you f-frigging dork" She said ruffling my hair and then putting her hand on top of mine. Grrrllllh. "Uhhh-" before I could finish Susie answered. "Sorry that'd be me" She said scratching her dark brown mane. I just chuckled. "Alright lets go grab pizza" I said as we walked to Icee's. 

Timeskip and Susie POV:

After finishing up I leaned back. "Ahhh, Damn been a while since I was full like this. Your sure you are gonna be okay with paying for all this?" I asked (Y/N). "Yea, and I'm just glad your happy" He said smiling. "Oh, heh wellll glad ya are" I said before standing up. "Ya sappy dork" I chuckled. "Sheesh I might be going soft too being around ya so much" I joked. "Maybe" He said as we left. I took his hand and walked to my place. It was warm and soft. I felt very safe as the sun had set and the street lights came on. I looked to my right and saw something.. blue eyes? I shook off the thought. "Thanks for walking me home (Y/N)... love ya" I said before kissing him. "Love you too Susie" he said before kissing me back. We stared for a few seconds before then kissing again. It lasted for only a minute. "Cya tomorrow" I said. "Cya tomorrow" He replied before walking off.
