Chapter 10 A Grand Day Out

(Y/N) POV:

I looked around and saw nothing but dark before two eyes pierced the darkness. The figure stared at me, they were shorter then me. They looked about my age however. The bright blue glowing eyes showed an outline of the shadowy figure but nothing else. "Hello vessel... you seem nice... too bad being nice doesn't get you anywhere.... I will have a fun time playing with you my weak disgusting prey" The said before I saw them smile, but just barely in the darkness.

I woke up and looked around. "Heh, just a nightmare... like it means anything though" I sighed as I started to get ready for school. I walked and tried to shake my nightmare off but I couldn't... those two blue eyes, staring into my very soul almost... it made me shudder in fear. I sighed and walked to class. I sat down at my desk and waited for Kris or Susie to come. I always felt a bit more safe when I was with friends or family. There was a slam and Susie walked in the door followed by Kris.

I sighed and for some reason felt sad. Like I was being neglected. I then realized why... I think I had started liking Susie as more then a friend somewhat. I blushed a little at the thought and sighed. "Not like she'd ever care about me" I thought in my head as class started. As class went on I thought about it a bit. "Eh, I was planning on playing games today but I guess asking a cool girl to hang out seems okay by me" I thought as I leaned back in my chair a little and then started to take notes.

I watched as Susie stretched a bit and then realized I was staring and looked away. "Shit I hope she didn't see that" I thought blushing as I put my head on my desk and my arm in front of my face. I felt so embarrassed that I looked at her and what was worse is I saw her breasts making me blush more... Susie had always been kinda uh well thicc to say the least despite being more masculine sometimes. I honestly liked that about her though.

Susie POV:

I looked over and saw (Y/N) I had caught him looking at me through the corner of my eye. "Shit was he looking at me? Did he like me? No no, he couldn't... no one would fall for a slut like you.... dad used to scream that too me after I had been forced into sex... and for nothing but more beer money. I sighed and then just looked down. I felt my face heat up a little, good thing my hair was long at the front so that way it covered my blush.

I shook my head and then started to focus more on taking notes and doing classwork and bullshit. I honestly felt a bit of... something I haven't felt before... something odd. Like my face heating up, these feelings of... something, made me feel all warm and fuzzy and shit or whatever people say. I had never felt this before but it was odd. I didn't hate the feeling, wasn't exactly a fan of it either. I then heard the bell ring jarring me from my thoughts. 

I looked down at my paper and noticed I had written some of it down. I blushed and tore the paper in half before ripping the other half to shreds with my clawed fingers and crumpling them before tossing the scraps in the garbage and putting my actual notes in my bag.I got up and then went to lunch. I had luckily remember to actually pack a lunch this morning.

(Timeskip)

I was walking down the hall way to leave school before hearing footsteps close behind me. "E-erm heya Susie" I heard a voice say. "Sup (Y/N)?" I asked not bothering to turn around and look cuz he's the only person who talks to me... save for Kris who technically doesn't talk. "Well perhaps uh we could maybe uh go somewhere for an early dinner perhaps" He replied. I stopped and turned around to face him and looked down. "Heh I mean I can't say no to food. Sure I'll see ya there but this ain't a date dork" I replied. "D-Date? Erm no, no way we're just friends doing this" He replied. "Heh good" I said before starting to walk. "See ya there at 6:30" I said leaving.

As I walked home I knew I'd have to get ready, for once I was actually trying to impress someone. I opened the door and immediately went to my room before closing the door. I sighed and looked around through my small closet that was missing a door. I had mostly the same clothes but my good stuff was in the closet, including my jacket when I didn't wear it. I sighed as nothing looked good enough for him... I wasn't good enough for him. I shook my head and then took out a red checkered flannel with some stains and a tear near the bottom. I sighed knowing it would have to do.

I tossed my jacket and tank top off before pulling the flannel on. I pulled up the long sleeves a little bit to expose a bit more of my arms. I then wrapped my usual jacket around my waist using the sleeves. I took a quick look before then walking over to a mirror and looking at myself, it was cracked and the paint fading. I sighed and took out a hair brush I hadn't used since I was a lot younger. I took it out and started running it through my hair as I tried to make it look at least better. I looked in the mirror and did a slight smile showing my yellowed teeth. I frowned at how I looked.... I hated the way I looked. "This will have to do" I sighed as I walked to QC's, after all that's where (Y/N) wanted to meet me.

(Y/N) POV:

I looked in the mirror and combed my hair, I had a white button up shirt, and some black jeans. I looked in the mirror and took a quick breath. "Okay, I guess I'm doing this" I said as I walked out. I went to QC's diner and then saw Susie a few minutes after. "Heh and you said this wasn't a date" I said trying to flirt almost with Susie. "Says you fancy guy" Susie replied back crossing her arms. "Now come on we gettin something to eat or standing around lookin pretty?" Susie asked.

"Who says we can't do both? Your kinda good at it" I flirted. "Oh shut up" She replied before then looking at me. "But uh thanks I guess" She replied. I held open the door for her. "Ladies first" I teased. "Heh fine nerd" She replied before pushing me in and doing her iconic laugh. "Ha ha" I replied as she walked in behind me. We sat down at a booth near a window and ordered. "Sooo other then playing Halo got any hobbies?" I asked Susie.

"Eh, I mean I train sometimes. Keeps ma muscles strong. I don't uh do much else... I mean I used to draw but hell that was a while ago" Susie replied. "Oh, well I bet you had some good art" I complimented. "Heh thanks I guess" She said. "And you dork?" She asked. "Nothing much, just gaming, writing used to be a hobby of mine and also studying monsters. You are a very interesting species after all" I replied. "Eh, same can be said bout humans and dogs and cats or whatever. All of us go somethin interesting or whatever" Susie stated.

"Fair point" I replied as we waited. 5 minutes of talking later our food came. "mmh finally" Susie said as she started to tear into her large quarter pound burger and fries, taking sips of her coke in between. I just watched and then started to eat as well. "Mppf mmh, haven't had anything this good in a while" Susie said with a slight grin. She continued and managed to finish her burger and fries within 7 minutes. "Urrrp! Uh heh 'scuse me. mmh I'm stuffed dude that was good" She added. "Well no need to thank me friends pay for each other" I said before paying for the meal. "Wait a sec no no no, ya don't gotta do that dude" Susie protested.

"I want too. Please?" I asked as I finished up eating my pizza and breadsticks. "Fine I guess... thank you. No one has ever cared for me like ya self" Susie said with an actual smile. "You should really smile more often Susie... I like your smile" I said before covering my mouth. Susie just rubbed her arm. "Uh well heh it's kinda hard to smile when ya ain't exactly happy too often" Susie replied. "I get that" I said as I finished. "Well uh tonight was fun" I said after. "Yeah, it was nice, uh kinda like you or whatever. Ya nice to me" Susie said. "Glad you think so" I said smiling now as well. We got up and walked out of the restaurant. "See ya at school tomorrow (Y/N)" Susie said. "See you at school tomorrow" I said waving and smiling. Susie put her hand on my shoulder. "Thanks for being such a nice friend" She said before walking away. I blushed and nodded feeling so many different emotions right now
