Chapter 17 Preparation

(Y/N) POV:

I walked with Susie out of class as we joked I looked over at the bulletin board noticing that the dance was fucking tomorrow! "What the hell was I thinking?!" I screamed mentally before actually kicking myself. "Ya okay dude? Ya kicked yourself" Susie said concerned. "Yeah I just forgot something is all" I replied. "Heh, we all forget stuff dude. It's what makes us monsters... and humans" Susie said scratching her neck and grinning. I nodded. "So then see you at the dance tomorrow" I said blushing a bit. "Heh yeah see ya then" Susie replied before looking both ways. There were a few people in the hall but suprisingly Susie quickly kissed my cheek before running off. I blushed and then started to walk home and get prepared for tomorrow

I blushed and then ran to my house before picking up some money and then running down to hometown clothing store before getting a text from my mom. "What are you doing?" It read. "Just getting something from the store I won't be long" I texted back and sighed before walking into the store. I looked through the store for a tuxedo, it only seemed fitting as I assumed it would look nice. I found one that seemed to be my size. It took it off the hanger and then walked into the changing room. I pulled on the tux over my existing hoodie. It didn't look half bad honestly. I moved around a bit making sure that it fit well and everything. "Heh, seems good so far" I said before taking it off. I already had some matching black pants at home I could wear so I decided to not worry about that.

I then took the tuxedo to the check out and cashed it in. I walked back to the house after paying and hung the tux in my closet. "Hmmm now where could I get flowers perhaps?" I asked in my head before then thinking about asking Kris where I could get some. I unlocked my phone and started to text him.

Susie POV:

"Shit shit shit! Why did I say yes I look like shit and don't got a dress or anything! (Y/N) deserves the best not some ugly purple freak" I said kicking myself for being so stupid. I then heard a knock. "Susie... I heard that you know" My dad said. I opened the door and let him in. "Here, take this and but something nice" My dad said. "W-What?" I asked completely shocked. "Buy yourself a pretty dress or whatever you need. Okay. I want you feeling good about yourself and... having what I don't right now" He sighed. "D-Dad... I..." I was shocked before hugging him.

"Now go have fun..." He said afterwards. "I... why are you acting so nice all of a sudden?!" I asked suddenly. "... that's for another time Susie okay" He told me. I just got off my bed. "...Well, thank you" I said before running to the store. I walked in and looked around the women's section, a place I usually only visit when trying to buy bra's or panties which I haven't done in years. I walked around and then found a nice purple pinkish dress that fit my style. I decided to take it and then walked to a changing room. "Ugh shit" I sighed as I tossed off my jacket and shirt before pulling the dress over my head. "... I... guess it looks okay. Better then all the other ones out there" I said with a slight smile before taking it off. I then decided wearing my regular beaten up shoes with this wouldn't work so I looked around. 

I browsed for a little while and finally found a pair of black heels. I shrugged and tried one on and well luckily it fit despite me just randomly stumbling upon them. "Aight guess this will do" I said a bit more confident about my appearance and looks and finally heading home and going upstairs to my room. I sighed and hung up my newly bought dress and hung it up. I looked in the mirror and sighed looking at myself. I looked at my yellowed sharp teeth and then at my sharp nails. I then finally looked at my purple skin, I have no idea how (Y/N) could fall for a monster like me.

(Y/N) POV:

I looked in the mirror at my A/C skin, my A/C hair and sighed wondering how some new guy could win over the heart of a beautiful looking tough lizard with probably a lot of experience in love or something similar to that. I sighed as I then decided to look at my mirror. Kris also had managed to find a nice place to get flowers. A place called flower king run by Asgore who is Kris' adoptive father. I then decided to change into my tux and go show it off to my dad to see how it looked. "Erm soo how is it?" I asked him. "Wow, looks like someone's gonna get his girl" He said with a chuckle. I blushed. "Dadddd" I said embarassed.

"What? Your just lookin killer (Y/N)" He complimented. I just shrugged and then changed again. I sighed knowing that at least I looked somewhat good. I then texted Kris thank you for recommending the flower place. Afterwards I crawled into my bed and fell asleep thinking about the dance tomorrow. It seemed like things might go well after all for me.

Susie POV:

I sighed as I looked in the mirror and then messed with my hair a bit. I then crawled into bed and started to think about the ways this could go. How it could be possible that he might like my dress and maybe even think I'm.... hot. I sighed and then started to pull the covers over my bed and slowly but surely fell asleep with a nice thought in my head for once. I slept peacefully for once that night with no worries.
