Hello everyone. There will not be an update until September 30, 2021. I'm very sorry about this.
My guinea pig Brownie was rushed to the vet on Wednesday since he was dehydrated and lost a lot of weight. It turns out my poor baby had bladder stones. Ones so big they had to operate on or else they probably would have caused him pain and ripped open his urinary track system.
Although the operation was considered successful, he passed away from it. They said he was a little fighter considering he showed no pain. His bladder was full of crystallization which isn't good and big bladder stones. Our vet was amazing and had so much experience in surgery. But it was hard on him considering his age. He was almost five, so she said it was like doing surgery on a 95 year old. But we were willing to take that risk. She even did the surgery free of charge. I'm just so grateful for her.
I'm heartbroken and still trying to believe he is gone. I'm still in shock. He was doing so good and then he just took a turn. I know he is out of pain though.
Thank you for those who have reached out and offered kind words.
Thank you for your patience as I navigate this difficult time.
