I went to my room after that and started to pack. Griffin followed shortly behind me and loomed in the threshold of my room. His arm crossed his chest and he leaned on the door frame, a sly smirk on his face.

"You got your work cut out for you, but if you don't I'll be suggesting some," Griffin tells.

"And what is that, that you have decided to pile on top of my already never ending work pile," I ask, very enthused. Note the sarcasm.

"I'll be suggesting work outs for you. I'll start off light. There will be intense ones, if you need to work through whatever frustration and anger you may find yourself in."

I huff and hold out my hand for him to drop a notebook in. I nearly shove it into my book bag filled with other work I have been assigned from my parents and tutors. He simply smirks and goes into my closet.

"Of course you are going to need your training clothes." He throws the pile of clothes onto an unzipped and overflowing bag. "You didn't think I was going to let you leave without training. You'd probably fall behind knowing you."

Goddess, he really is ready to take on the Captain of the Royal Guard. He's truly determined. He's more than ready for the position and I'm proud of him. He's been working for it and he's the only one I'd want to be Captain and guard my sister.

"So, what is it like?"

I raise my eyes to meet him. "What is it like," I hissed.

"Having a mate?"

I roll my eyes. "I don't really have one. The bond was removed once she rejected me."

"I mean you could have what I have. Only feeling the bond on my end is quite upsetting."

I roll my eyes. "I mean at least you have a bond and don't have to feel the pain of it being ripped from your soul."

Griffin believes he is mates with my sister. Ever since he first met her years ago he immediately felt a pull towards her. Yet, Rosabella can't contact her wolf so she can't feel her bond. She can't even mind the link as a matter of fact. It's rough and that is why she always has a guard and that guard is the best of the best. Which is the Captain.

I literally had to sit on my suitcases to get them to zip shut. It was quite the spectacle in Griffin's opinion.

After that I brought my bags out to the cars and shoved them into the back. Samantha has yet to do the same and I could only imagine what my sister was filling her head with. Considering she is helping her pack I can only imagine what she is making her pack. My sister and her fantasies.

I knock on the door softly and slowly open it when I hear the approval. I stand there with two other men beside me, one being Griffin.

"Are you packed and ready," I ask.

She simply nods and finishes zipping the last of the suitcases.

"Good, these men will see to your bags and pack them into the cars awaiting us out front."

I show her to our car we'll be riding in and the two guards load up her bags into the last of the cars.

Samantha brought a blanket and neck pillow for the ride. It is early so hopefully she can sleep, if she plans to. Besides those items it was the only ones she brought on the car ride. She has yet to acquire a phone, so I'll work on getting her one of those. Maybe once I can trust her enough I'll take her into town and get her a phone. She is going to need one.

She snuggles into the blanket signing with content.

"How was my sister," I asked and I couldn't help the laugh that rumbled in my throat.

"Your sister, was your sister."

I smile slightly and she shakes her head with the same small smile. "Your sister is truly something."

"She is, and we love her for it. You'll get used to it, but I think she is excited to have a new friend. Probably a little upset that you are leaving. That we are leaving and leaving her with my parents alone."

My parents have always been a little more attached to Rose than normal. I understand why, but I still can't help but feel bad for the girl.

"We should've brought her."

I shake my head. "Remember this is for us to bond, not the three of us to bond. Maybe every once and a while she can come down."

She huffs. I'm glad she's getting along with someone. To be completely honest, I was nervous for her to be around my family freely. I didn't know what to expect from her being around my parents. I was shocked when she didn't attack my father and even more surprised when she didn't kill mom. I was certain she'd at least try to be with mom, but she surprised me. Certainly that is some progress. Perhaps she was scared or felt defenseless without her wolf, kneeling she wouldn't stand a chance without it. Either way, I am grateful for that.

The conversation fell silent after that and Samantha fell asleep on her neck pillow and curled up in her blanket. I couldn't help but admire her in her sleep. Her long lashes gracing her cheeks and she seemed at peace. A cute little grin played on her lips. I quietly worked on emails and work while we drove there. I had two hours to catch up on two weeks of work.
