Dax P.O.V.

He will kill me. He will definitely kill me. Just say they couldn't find the kid and send him back to wherever he came from. She'll know if I'm lying. How the hell am I supposed to make this decision? If I go in there with him and Hayden comes home to find a titan in his home with his pregnant wife, he will kill me. Wife? Fiancé. Ah. Fuck it! Do as you're told. If he tells me to get rid of him I will. I will stay with Evelyn and make sure she's safe. It's fine. It will be fine. It's not a big deal. It's a little kid.

"Your thoughts are very loud. Why are you shouting?" I looked over at the small, slender kid sitting in my passenger seat. The rage inside me was incomprehensible. No one had ever annoyed me more than this tiny little brat.

"You have a big mouth for such a small thing, I liked it better when you didn't speak." I continued to drive back to Evelyn's, still pondering whether I should just take the next exit and return the brat to their sender.

"Fine. Shall I just bite?" I inhaled a deep breath, trying to ignore him. "Shall I just bite Evelyn again?"

Just take him back. Send him to Teo. Leave him on the side of the road.

"Your thoughts don't scare me." His voice was like ants crawling all over my skin.

"Your threats don't scare me either. You're like 3."

"Seven actually." He continued to speak despite me having had told him to shut up many times over. Just shut up!

"Same difference."

"Same difference." He chuckled mockingly. Unluckily for him, we had stopped at a red light and I grabbed a hold of his dirty, thin shirt, lifting him from his seat and pulling him up to my face.

"I swear on Rory, I will send you back wherever the fuck you came from, you little shit." I was slowly losing my mind. I threw him back into his seat, but he seemed unfazed by my outburst. He's just a little kid. Just a kid.

"Why are you so angry? I am literally seven years old." He shook his head, fixing his shirt. I gripped the wheel tighter as the lights turned green and I sped off across the highway.

"Just stop talking!" For the love of Rory. How annoying can one get?

"I'm seven." Stop invading my mind! Inhaling a deep breath, I tried my hardest not to give in. Even sitting beside him was making my skin irritated.

"So, you keep saying, but I need you to not say anything at all." I looked over to my glove box, before opening it. "Better yet," pulling out some black tape, I felt my body finally descend into some peace as I ripped a little bit of tape with my teeth while holding onto the wheel, before slapping the tape over his mouth. "Remove it and I will hand you down to the black soldiers." He seemed to finally give in to my demands, leaning back against the window and watching the road pass by as we drove on in silence.

It was nearly 8 PM when we arrived. I knew that it was more than likely that Hayden was going to be home, and I was walking in with a titan. I hesitated still standing in their car park. I could see the kid yawning, having used up all his energy trying to annoy me.

"Come here," Opening the car door, I pealed him from his seat, standing him up in front of me. I gripped the tip of the tape, quickly pealing it off his face.

"Ouch!"

"Suck it up. Come on." I insisted, taking his hand and dragging him along with me, into the building. He jerked his hand out of my grip as we got into the elevator. I couldn't wait to be free of him. I'm never having kids.
