Aaron's POV

"I can't wait to go on the junior trip this weekend. I need a break from all this bullshit" David said getting into the passenger seat of my truck.

Soccer practice had just ended and I wanted nothing more than to just take a hot shower and sleep.

"Dude, you have zero bullshit going on right now except your shitty grades" I joked.

"Ha ha. I have plenty of bullshit I'm dealing with".

"Like what?" I challenged

He was quiet for a long moment. "Amber".

I narrowed my eyes at him. "That's a problem that you decided to have on your own bro".

Amber was this clingy girl who David had been hanging with lately and if you ask me, I believe she's slightly crazy.

David shook his head. "Girls are something man".

I nodded my head in agreement as I began to think of Dana.

"How are things going with Dana?" he asked, reading my mind.

"It hasn't really gone anywhere. Every time were about to talk... Something happens. Maybe it's a sign".

"Shut up man. You sound like a chick with all that sign crap. You just have bad timing".

Man did I hope he was right.

"AARON!" someone called.

Peeking my head outside of my rolled down window, I spotted Corey making his way over to me.

"What's up man?" I asked as he reached me, gasping for air.

"Let me catch my breath. That run was not easy" he said putting his hand to his chest.

"You barely did anything" David said to him.

Corey made a face at him before looking at me seriously.

"I need to speak with you".

"Okay, go ahead".

He pointed to David. "Privacy would be nice".

"Oh come on Core, it's just David".

No one knew this but Corey use to be our best friend... That is until he had other things in mind. While we were thinking of chicks, he was thinking of their brothers. David and I still considered him one of our best bros but we knew for sure that we grew apart. We didn't care if he was gay but our interests did not match.

With a reluctant sigh, Corey continued. "Well I know you sort of had a thing for Dana last year and it didn't work out to well. But as you know, she is one of my good good friends and I know something's that could maybe... Help you make a second attempt".

With a raised eyebrow, I glanced over at David who gave me an approving nod.

A second attempt was what I was trying to do and if Corey could help me, that would be awesome. He was close friends with Dana and had insight on the things I wanted to know.

"So you can help me?" I asked facing him again.

With a satisfied smile, he nodded.

"Get in the truck" I told him.

Obeying, he got in the backseat.

"So how can you do that?”
