Chapter 4: PaaarTAAAY

"Can you stop driving like you're fucking crazy?!" Brianna yelled at me over the loud music.

Checking her out in the passenger seat, I began laughing.

She was gripping her seatbelt so tight that her knuckles were turning white.

Extremely dramatic.

"Relax Brianna" I said patting her arm.

Brianna hated the way I drove but my car, my rules and that was the motto.

"I can't relax when you drive like a maniac! I feel like you’re driving me to my death every time I'm in this freaking vehicle!"

I rolled my eyes and slowed down for her sake.

She let out a long sigh and released the seatbelt.

"I wish you would have gotten cute for this party" she said turning the radio off and looking at my outfit.

My attire consisted of a Beatles sweatshirt, skinny jeans and red vans.

Brianna on the other hand was wearing a black mini skirt, a white crop shirt and black cowboy boots.

We looked like two different seasons in our outfits.

The weather was pretty unpredictable now and days but even I knew it was cold outside.

"I never get cute for parties. Too many sweaty people. We always have this conversation" I said as I turned into a neighborhood full of big houses with freshly mowed lawns and garden gnomes.

"And I always tell you that you should at least wear a skirt or something that reveals some skin".

"Bri, it's like forty degrees out here. Why the hell would I wear a skirt?" I said looking at her like two heads were growing from her neck.

"Live a little!" she demanded.

"Yeah, I'll live nice and warm while these other girls, including yourself, freeze your asses off" I said as we turned onto another street with similar houses.

"Yeah I'll be freezing but I'll be cute and maybe I'll even be able to warm up in Sean's arms" she said with a dreamy smile.

What the hell?

"You do realize that you sound dumb as fuck right?"

"I'm serious Dana! He might pay attention to me in this outfit".

"Can I slap your ass kind of notice right? Wouldn't you want him to notice you for you" I said.  Sounding a lot like my mom.

"Dana please” she said waving me off with her hand. “What does that even mean anymore? Guys don't care about that crap".

"And you’re ok with that Bri? Less clothes equals more attention?" I asked her.

"Don't say it like that, then it sounds bad. Less clothes equals less conversation about something stupid".

She sounded like a straight up stupid ass.

She was always going to get stupid conversation with Sean. That had nothing to do with the way she dressed but everything to do with the brain he owned.

"Well you go ahead and live by that. Let me know how it goes".

Evan's house could be spotted before we got down to the end of the street. There were tons of cars, loud music and girls that resembled Brianna.
