(This gonna be a long chapter, but it's a good one).

Six years had passed since that fateful night, and Julie McDuck had grown into a fiery, curious, and independent little girl. She didn't mind that she didn't know much about her parents, but she did have a small bit of hope that they'd come back for her.

She had proven herself to be the first-cousin of Donald and Della as well as the great-niece of Scrooge. Julie was fierce like Della, had a bit of a temper like Donald, and had a curiosity and taste for adventure like her Uncle Scrooge.

She now saw Donald and Della as her cousins, but Donald had allowed her to call him Uncle Donald. (And she would never say anything, but Julie also saw Della as her mom). And Della had just laid three eggs that would soon hatch and be her baby cousins.

However, tonight was going to change the fate of the McDuck/Duck family forever.

Soon after she had gone to bed, Julie was awoken by a strange rumble. She moaned, sat up in bed, and looked out the window.

A rocket was taking off!

Without a second thought, Julie leapt out of bed and into her Uncle Scrooge's room. She jumped on his bed and shook him.

"Uncle Scrooge! Wake up!"

Her uncle rubbed his eyes. "Lass? I thought we'd been over this: you cannae sleep in my bed when you have nightmares anymore!"

"No, Uncle Scrooge! It's Della! She's taking off in a rocket!"

"What?! C'mon, lass! We have to talk her down before something happens!"

Scrooge was trying to talk Della down from the rocket while Julie watched over the eggs and Donald yelled at him.

"I can't BELIEVE you! Building her a freakin' ROCKET before the triplets are hatched?! How irresponsible could you BE?! You stupid...!"

"DONALD! Not in front of Julie! And I'm doing everything I..."

Suddenly, all Julie saw on the screen was static and red flashing letters.

She may have been young, but Julie sure could read those words on the screen.

TRANSMISSION LOST. NO SIGNAL.

Julie swallowed the lump in her throat as tears coated her eyes. Donald and Scrooge just sat there, their beaks agape while Julie snatched the microphone from her uncle's limp hand.

"Della! T-this is Julie! P-please answer! T-this isn't funny!"

Uncle Scrooge gently took the microphone from her hand and sighed.

"I'm sorry, lass; she's gone."

That's when Julie's world went black.

(Julie's POV)

"She'll be okay. It's just from anxiety and shock."

I woke up sluggishly, rubbing my head before a set of hands were gently put on my shoulders.

"Thank heavens you're awake, lass," my Uncle Scrooge said, pushing my hair back. "I thought ye'd out for much longer." A tall chicken with a green shirt, brown pants, and glasses stood next to him.

"This is Gyro Gearloose. I took you here after you passed out."

"Nice to meet you, Miss McDuck."

Great. Now I feel old.

"Where's Uncle Donald?"

Scrooge hung his head. "He got angry at me and left with Della's eggs, lassie."

Tears rolled down my cheeks. "B-but...I was supposed to meet them! And Uncle Donald..." I broke down sobbing into Uncle Scrooge's chest.

"I'll bring her back, Julie; I promise. But, for now, ye'll have to be strong."
