I smiled. "Hey Webby, what's up?"

She looked at the boys. "Who are they?" Then she gasped. "Are they intruders?!"

"Nonono!" I quickly replied, shaking my head. (I've lived in this mansion for over ten years; I KNOW what Webby is capable of.) "These are Scrooge's great-nephews; he asked me to keep an eye on them."

"OH MY GOSH! THE NEPHEWS!" Webby squealed, quickly taking a picture of the triplets with her camera. "What are your blood types? What's Donald really like? Who's the evil triplet?"

"Louie," Huey and Dewey said together. Louie just shrugged it off.

Evil triplet? Don't know how I feel about that...

"Sooo... you guys wanna see the Wing of Secrets?!"

I rolled my eyes. It's a garage, Webs. "Tell you what: I'll let you four explore the mansion while I talk to Scrooge."

"But you're supposed to be watching us!" Dewey sputtered as I headed for the bedroom door.

"I am watching you guys! But I doubt you three need a babysitter to hold your hand."

"We don't! I just..."

"Oh, I see what's going on," I announced with a smirk. "You wanna spend time with me."

"How'd you...?"

"Oh, please. It's easy when you can see all the angles."

I grabbed Dewey's hand. "Meet back here in ten," I told the other kids. "I don't want Scrooge to think you guys ran away or something."

Huey, Louie, and Webby nodded before crawling into my room's vent. I gently pushed Dewey out the door, walked out, and closed the door behind me.

"I'm assuming you have questions, right?"

"Yeah, just a few," Dewey replied, looking at me with big, blue eyes.

Della's eyes.

"Well, I'll see how many I can answer before we get to Scrooge's study."

"So...your name's Julie, right?"

"Yep."

"How long have you been here? In the mansion, I mean."

"Sixteen years."

"Wow. So, how'd you end up here? Where are your parents? And what's up with your hair?"

"My hair? What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"It kinda looks like...my mom's."

"Oh," I sighed, eyeing the ground. I've always been told we looked alike, but...I wanted to be my own person. And Della abandoned us: her uncle, sons, brother, and...me.

How do you react when someone says you look like a person who left everything and everyone she loved?

"Well, we're here..."

"Scrooge?" I said, knocking on the door lightly. "Can I come in?"

"Come in, lass."

"Okay; Dewey, just...stick close to me, okay?" The blue triplet nodded.

"Hey Scrooge, are you okay?" I greeted, opening the door enough to let me and Dewey in.

"I'm...fine now, Julie," Scrooge said, now taking notice of Dewey's presence. "What's he doing here? And where are all the other wee ones? I thought you were watching them!"

"I was; I let Webby give them a tour of the place."

"And the third one?" Scrooge said, pointing at Dewey.

"His NAME is Dewey, and he just wanted to talk to me. Had some questions."

"Oh."

"Could you at least talk to him?"

No answer.

"You know, I know you miss adventuring with her and Donald, but that doesn't give you the right to not talk to the rest of your family!"

Still no answer.

"You avoid the triplets and Donald for ten YEARS and you can't even talk to one of them?!"

"That's because family is nothing but trouble!" Scrooge exclaimed, slamming his fist on the desk.

I looked down at Dewey, who now was just as angry as Scrooge was and walked out the door.

"Dewey, wait!" I cried before I heard a scream.

"That came from the garage!" Scrooge said, running to its door with me close behind. We came to the door just in time to see a headless horse hit the gong of Pixiu, along with a glowing sword that flew past my head and a ghost pirate.

"What could be worse than this?!" Louie shouted.

"What in Dismal Downs is going on in here?!" my uncle yelled, getting all our our attention.

"There it is," they all said.
