Who is Julie McDuck?!

Moonvasion! Part 1

(Julie's POV)

I laid on my bed, reading a book. I turned to look out the window and my beak dropped wide open.

Outside was a sight that I thought I'd never see again...the Spear of Selene, but this time, it was made of pure gold.

I rushed down to the living room where the rest of the family was gathered as Uncle Scrooge switched on the TV.

"The rockets touched down just minutes ago," Roxanne announced to the camera. "It's still not clear what they want, but authorities urge everyone to remain calm. All of Duckburg watches as authorities send in their top man..."

I watched in anticipation as Fenton in the Gizmoduck armor approached the spaceship and knocked on it. An alien in a helmet walked out, and Fenton offered her a pie as a peace offering. The alien took a bite of it, and a smile appeared on her face once she tasted it.

"Oof! Maybe I misheard Penny's invasion warning," Della chuckled nervously. "Lot of static in space."

I squinted at the TV screen. "Something's off here..."

Turns out I was right as the alien took out a laser gun and fired it at Gizmoduck, just narrowly missing him.

"We are the mighty! We are the MOON!" the female alien exclaimed as more aliens arrived behind her wielding the same laser guns.

Everyone gasped, and Della looked down in guilt. "Aw, phooey."

We piled into Uncle Scrooge's jeep and Josh's truck, heading to the Money Bin. "Faster, Beakley!" Uncle Scrooge urged. "The Bin is the most secure place in town!"

"This is it!" Dewey declared, opening the back window of the jeep. "Saving the Earth is my dew-stiny! Come face the chosen one!"

"Heck no, dude!" I yelled, pulling my middle cousin back into the jeep and closing the window.

"Why are they doing this?!" Della exclaimed. "They liked me so much!"

"Enough!" Uncle Scrooge said as his brow furrowed. "I have a plan!"

Both of the cars stopped in front of the Bin as Della ushered us kids in followed by the adults. By the time the garage door shut, the whole place was surrounded with red lasers. Uncle Scrooge burst into Gyro's office where the scientist was waiting.

"Gyro! It's time," Uncle Scrooge announced. "Unleash... the Unstoppa-Bomb!"

"The Moonlanders, um, already found that and stopped it," Gyro replied.

"What? Uh, alright then...Activate the Doomsday Ray...!" Scrooge countered.

"That was like the first thing they took out."

"Okay. I swore I'd never have initiate our worst weapon--"

"And you never will, because they destroyed that too," Gyro said with a roll of his eyes. "This was a very well-planned invasion."

Without warning, the room's projector flicked on with static before revealing who appeared to be the head captain of the aliens.

"Greetings, puny Earthers; I am General Lunaris of the vastly superior Planet Moon," he announced.

"The Moon's not a planet-" Uncle Scrooge pointed out.

"Yeah, it's a whole thing with them," Della said.

"For too long, my people have lived in fear of your Earth hanging in the sky. The time has come for the Earth to fear us. I now wish to speak to Scrooge McDuck. 'Smarter than the smarties', eh? Heh. Perhaps on Earth," Lunaris snickered.
