First Practise ~Part Two~

"Thank you all so much for being here."The coach tells us, starting his first speech of the year. Jack is right behind me, I'm in between his legs which is kinda awkward but his armops are around me, in a very protective position and I like that so. "it means so much to me that some of you would move out here just to be apart of this team. and even those who didn't move the fact that your here, is just amazing. Because this season will be hard, fun but hard. You will hate me and this team sometimes but love us most of the time. If this team is just a game for you guys, get out now." he continues his speech for about another half hour but it's all very inspirational and I love it. But he does say if we're gonna date someone on our team we can't if we think it's going to end up hurting the team. But otherwise go right on ahead.

He starts giving us our stunt groups, and I'm in Jacks!!! He's my back and my bases are Kaitlin and Bryn, and their both REALLY good!!!

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 he starts counting after he teaches us the stunt we're going to do. It's a double up to needle, rewind to double base but we stay in needle, and the bases put our needle foot on the floor, then swing us back around to the top as we do a 720 and switch immediately to stretch then to arabesques and double down!!!
"That was AMAZING. your the only one that stayed up!!!!" Jack tells me and kisses me quickly. The coach stars walking towards us, and when he gets to us he says
"Good job Emily and group that was amazing!!!" He praises us, and it causes me to stand a little straighter and me a little prouder. Then whispers "Keep this up and don't be surprised if you center flyer this season!"
"Thank you so much" I whisper back, then he proceeds to leave. Then I turn around to face Jack and see that he is genuinely happy for me and he says,
"If your going to be center flyer, you better be planning on taking me with you." He says
"I will don't worry" I say back then we hear the coach yell
"Again!!!" Then he starts counting.
Once again I hit but this time I see Emma is with me and so is Emily Sobotova!!! He's not as upset this time but still makes us do the stunt five more times before letting us take a break. And when we come back he tells us to start working kick switch double baskets!
"I love kick switch double baskets!!" I say to Jack excitingly
"I bet your great at them!"
"Well I don't know I'm ok I guess"
"Well either way, your going to be amazing today I mean your on a roll!!!"
I kiss him and say thanks before we head back and start working on baskets.
"So do you guys want to go straight to switch kicks or not?" I ask them hoping they say straight to kick switch because I'm not the best a straight baskets...
"I say straight to kick switch" Jack says and Kaitlin and Bryn agree so we set up and Jack starts to count. as they grown me up I set, kick, wait, switch, wait and double!!! And it's perfect, I think it's the best I've ever done!!!
"Good job" my bases say to me
"Thank you, you to" I reply with a smile
Then Jack kisses my forehead in a sweet way, and I like it😊
"Great job" he says to me as the coach walks over
"How would you feel about being our opening basket?" He asks
"I would be honored! But would I still be able to tumble?" I ask
"Yes yes of course!!! Don't worry." he tells me erasing my fears.
"I love tumbling it makes me feel in control like I could do anything and everything is up to me, I love it!" I tell Jack.
"Are you trying to make me fall even more in love with you? Because it's working." he admits to me and I kiss him
"EWWW GROSS GUYS, GET A ROOM!" I hear one of my bases say and most of the team laugh but I don't mind and I'm pretty sure Jack doesn't either because he only kisses me harder and I realize at that moment, I'm falling hard.
"Ok guys keep working baskets" I hear the coach say and immediately pull away from Jack. "and Emily's group move on to kick full kick full, and once you've got that I'll let you know what the first stunt!" He tells the team
"Will do coach." I respond with joy
The kick full, kick full baskets are easy for me I get a kick full kick half my first try and takes me two more tries to finally get around but every time I come down and Jack catches me he kisses me on the top of my head!!! Emma is still working on her switch kick but she's getting really good at them! The coach comes over and asks us how we're doing all, I answer "pretty great thank you"
"It no problem at all" he says "now would you like to know the next stunt?"
"Yes, yes of course!"
"So the stunt is pretty easy I want you to look confident and sassy in the air ok? So your going to be in two mans and handstand on your side bases shoulders and then snap up to heel stretch, switch to lib, switch to stretch then again to stretch and sassy motions while in platform then kick up scorp. But make sure the tic tocs are all supposed to be quick so let's say the first one is on 2 the second one should be 4 and third 6. So do you think your up for it???"
"I know I am" I say proudly
"Ok well get started" he says as he walks away to help another group. and that's when I notice Jack has had his hands around me the whole time.
"Ok sounds good so let's figure out the counts."

We end up getting the stunt after 25 minutes and then coach tells us to work on our tumbling. I'm not quite sure what to work on so I ask Jack,
"Well you could work on your kick double."
"Basket? I think I already have that down..."
"No I meant tumbling, I've been working on it and can almost land it I could start teaching you."
"Yes I would love that! thank you so much for offering!"
"No problem so first warm up and then I'll help." he says as he kisses my cheek

After I warm up my tumbling he starts to teach me, starts making me do drills on the floor, picking me up and swinging me around him, which isn't really helping my tumbling but it's fun😏. And that's when he finally lets me go try it...

At first I can't get it and I'm getting really frustrated but Jack calms me down by saying "Listen Emily, your perfect. I know that you hate getting stuck on a skill I do to but you've only been working on it for a day you need to take a breath and try again but your not going to have a Matt there or Jean spotting you" he says with a jealous tone to his voice
"Haha don't worry Jack."
"How can I not there was one time where when he caught you his hand was really close to your butt and it lingered"
"Well lucky for you, I love you"
"And I'm extremely lucky you do cause your the best girl I have ever met. now go try your kick double again and I'll be there for you!"
As I prepare to throw it one last time before practice ends I notice that Jack is there cheering me on Emma and Jake are watching and so is the rest of the team and their all cheer me on!!!!

So I go, I run run run, I feel free, concern free and in love, I hurdle round off, backhand spring, set and kick double, I'm high I know it I can feel it but I don't know where I am I know I should be used to it I mean I never open my eyes in my tumbling but this is different I know Jacks going to be there for me so I double anyways and land it! BY MYSELF!!!! Jack picks me up turns me around and kisses me before whispering "That was amazing, it looked like you were going to freak out for a second there, but you didn't I mean I hate to tell you this but you keeping it together could have saved your life or at least your ankles! you scared me" and at this moment he hugs me harder! And all I can say is
"It's you, your the reason I didn't freak out, you told me you were going to be there for me! And I knew you would be no matter what and that's why I didn't freak out, so thank you."
"That's what I'm here for, well that and this" he says as he kisses me
I notice then that the whole team is clapping for us and the boys are whooping for Jack and congratulating him and it causes me to laugh but Jack doesn't stop kissing me and that just makes me laugh even more! He stops after a bit and says
"We'll continue this later" with his smirk of course

The coach then talks to all of us, just basically congratulating us for surviving our first practice and tells us he can't wait to spend the rest of the season with such strong amazing dedicated athletes! and it fills everyone with pride in pretty sure we all leave feeling better then we did when we came in!

Practice was amazing I couldn't have wished for anything more! It was exactly what I've dreamed of and I'm so glad I put in the 9 years of effort for this, trust me when I say its worth it!
