TGLC TWINS

The Second Comp.

Everyone gets to the gym by 7:20 some people were late because they slept in and we had to have everything done when we got here. We run ten laps around the gym and then stretch. Jack asks me how I'm doing and my only response is tired. just then Tammy walks over and ignores my existence entirely while flirting with Jack, and jack either doesn't notice or doesn't care which was a bit upsetting. But I calm down I know Jack cares about me, and just when I come to this conclusion Tammy kisses his cheek-a little closer to his lips but ok- before waking away. But whatever.

We warm up perfect and hit our stunt through, then out the door and head to the comp.

In the practice gym everything is fine, everyone's stunt is great until Tammy falls from hers, and then it takes her three more tries to hit but eventually she does. As we go to the full floor the coach informs us that all we need to do is the stunt. And I'm pretty sure that's only because he loves Tammy and if she doesn't feel comfortable in one thing thats what we do. We all get into our opening positions and Jack kisses me before going to his. The music starts and he barely got to his formation and we find ourselves laughing and making silly aces at each other the whole Routine when we get to the stunt he whispers
"you got this" in my ear, it's become a sort of tradition. We all hit the stunt and I hear a lot of people cheering for us, so as soon as we end I wave to them and blow kisses. But I have to get into the zone, but I'm guessing Jack notices because he comes up behind me and wraps his arms around me as his arms around me and starts playing with the belt buckle on my shorts, as his lips brush a weak spot in my neck, I enjoy it for a second or two longer but swat his hands away when I realize we are two minutes away from going on the performance floor, he laughs and says
"We'll continue this later." it's hard to disagree so I just nod and he grabs ahold of my hand.

"NEXT UP PLEASE WELCOME TOP GUN LARGE COED!!!" The nerves and adrenaline kick in and Jack has to pull me on stage but it's like magic, because as soon as I step onto the matt I snap out of it and focus. It seems like half the population is there to cheer us on, and it's still fairly early my spots in the back because I do the opening basket but jacks is in the front because as I do a kick full kick full he handspring whip doubles to the back so our good luck kiss has to be quick but it's sweet. as Jack kisses me he whispers
"I love you, you can do this." And he runs away before I can say anything back which I find strange.
As usual he barely gets to his spot.
TOP GUNS GOING BACK TO BACK
"Kick squeeze kick squeeze". I barely get around for the second full and my first kick felt rushed. Jack lands his tumbling and looks over at me and gives a comforting smile, I guess he saw the end of my basket And knew I needed it.
"PUSH PUSH PULL" I hear the crowd yell I land this and so does Jack.
And now we have to do a toe touch full and I land it, jack does to but Tammy and Emma stumble a bit.
Next is the stunt and I'm a bit nervous for Tammy. But I know that she can get it together, as we're in the hand stand jack whispers "you got this" and kisses my ear, but it doesn't distract me if anything it makes me want to hit the stunt more. When I do my heel stretch I look over at the other stunt groups and see that Kenny fell... Wait Kenny never falls it was probably a fluke. I lip sing the song as we do the three switches when we're done I notice that Silvie, kylie, and Tammy all fell. I do my motions and kick up to a needle then double down.
"Keep going don't you dare give up" jack yells at the team after the stunt and winks at me and I can see that he's worried I will.
The jumps are easy but Kylie flys forward after the full.
The next stunt is right after and there is three bobbles and one stunt fall from Tammy. I'm point flyer so I hope the judges are focused on me.
The running Tumbiling is next and Emma and I tumble together, which is the best part of the routine because We do a really sassy motion after and hold hands as we walk to the pyramid together. And Jack tumbles after me so we give each other a high five after he lands. I hear him yelling at me
"Come on Emily you got this push threw it" as I tumble I do my kick double and land on my ankle, I immediately fall to the floor and grab my ankle it's killing me. Emma doesn't notice until she teaches for my hand and I'm not there. and Jack lands his tumbling and lifts me up.
"I'm telling her to stop the music!" He yells over the crowd
"Don't you dare Jack Harris I swear to God I will hurt you if you do, I can do this pyramid!!!" I yell back as I give thumbs up to coach Liam who is looking as if he's about to stop the music. Jack half walks me half carries me to the pyramid and gives my side a gentle Squeeze. The whole pyramid my ankle hurts so much but every time Jack has ahold on my ankle he holds it in a way that makes it stop hurting.
My side hits with the exception of I minor bobble the first time I had to put all my weight on the ankle and Jack didn't know that was that bad. But Emma's side fell for one part and then got back up, to her credit I think she was distracted because of me and she got right back up. When the pyramid was finally over I sat in the back clutching my ankle and Jack sat with me comforting me just until the music ended and then immediately picked me up and ran to the paramedics and told them exactly what happened all while running his hand through my hair.
