NCA week

It's the practice before NCA and it's extremely nerve wracking and I keep getting mad at Jack for no reason but he just laughs at me and kisses my forehead when I pout.

Emma's POV

Jake is so nice and kind and always there for me I don't know what I would do without him. So when I see he set up a whole candle light dinner by the ocean I'm only a little surprised but when he tells me that he and Jack have a surprise for Emily and I on Easter I keep probing him to tell me what it is but he refuses to budge. I'm anxious to find out but really want to enjoy dinner with Jake.

Jakes POV

I know it's mean but as Emma begs me to tell her what the surprise is I just tune her out. It's easy to get distracted by the way her hair moves or her hand gestures or even just her eyes or smile. And I'm positive I like her but I need to tell her when the moment is perfect and that is not right now. It's at the gym, after this I have a surprise waiting at the gym for her and I'm almost positive she's going to love it.
"and that's why you should tell me." Emma ends her attempt to convince me
"No still not telling. But I need to swing by the gym after just quickly I think I forgot my phone there."
"Ok yeah sure no problem"

When we're finished dinner I take Emily's phone out and see texts from a guy named Toby.
Emily I'm sorry please give me another chance.
I love you and I know you love me
That Jack guy is not better than me
meet me somewhere
I need you
I miss you
I love you
ANSWER ME!!!
I've been texting you for days and I haven't gotten a single reply!
I'm sorry I shouldn't have gotten mad but please babe baby girl answer me.

I take a pic and send it to myself just in case Jack needs to see these and text him that I'm on my way now.

Jacks POV

My phone vibrates in my pocket as we set up the gym, it's a text from Emily's phone which Jake has because of this whole surprise we have planned for Emma. Well Jake has planned Emily and I are just helping out I see there's two from him the latest one saying their on there way. And the first one, a picture of Emily's texts with Toby...
"Emily what is this???" The texts are all from today but he sent one saying he's been texting her for days. As she runs over with a smile on her face I regret ever seeing these or ever acting on them but it's too late as she gets closer her smile drops and she rushes to explain.
"I don't like him, I haven't for almost eight months and I never loved him bye just thinks I did, and I've been meaning to tell you about his texts but I kept forgetting. They mean NOTHING to me jack. Please believe me I would never do that especially to you, I love you." I believe her but it doesn't mean it doesn't bother me that another guy is texting her. But I won't let it get in the way of things are between us. I reach down and pull her face close to mine I need confirmation that she loves me and it's there, the second our lips touch I know she really does love me and Toby doesn't matter to her anymore. And thats how we stay until Jake texts me saying their here so Emily and I rush to finish setting up. So when they walk in confetti blows all over Emma and when it clears Jake is holding a bow that says prom? And a box that has two words NO. And PROM. Which she's going to have to pin to the bow she gets closer to him and is dead serious, as she picks up the NO. You can see the confusion and nerves on Jakes face so I have to laugh when she goes on her tip toes and switches the two words and places PROM. On the bow and when Jake sees this he lets out a sigh and kisses Emma.
