Back to practice

It's been three weeks since I realized I loved Jack and I haven't said it yet, but I'm going to and soon! I went to the doctors over the weekend and he said that he would prefer me waiting one more week till I start practicing again but that if I took extra care I could go back!!! Jack took me to the doctors and as soon as he heard this he picked me up and kissed me it was cute.

So I'm finally going to practice today and I'm really excited. I decide to wear my real Nike pros and yellow sports bra and put a shirt in my bag because it's SUPER hot out and I bet the gyms humid today. So I head to the kitchen where everyone's waiting for me and I see Jack look at me, he's speechless and I'm pretty sure it's because I never wear a sports bra and my hairs down because I forgot to put it up, and it's curled and before I know it I have his sweater that was on the couch around my shoulders and Jacks pitiful attempt at a pony tail in my hair.
"You do want to get to practice right?" Jack asks me
"Well yes obviously!" I answer
"Because seeing you in that I was this close to calling coach and telling him we couldn't make it and hauling you back into my room."
"Jack if you did that we'd be off the team." I answer laughing
"It would be worth it."

I keep Jacks sweater around me and his ponytail in until we start to run then the heat overcomes me and I have to take it off. He gets a bit mad because I also put my hair down and according to Emma "all the guys are staring" but it's to hot to keep it on.

"Emily!" I hear the coach call and I head over
"I only want you basketing today and I've been trying Tammy in your stunt but she's not replacing just trying."
"No coach please I can do the stunt I'm fine."
"Ok but I want you switching in with Tammy ok?"
"Ok..." But it was anything but
I headed back to Jack and told him what happened and he took my shoe off and started to put icy hot on my ankle and then KT tape around it, and then starts to put my shoe back on all while giving me a speech about how awesome I am and how I can do anything because I'm perfect and I kiss him because he starts to babel.

When we did the stunt the first time as I snapped into a heel stretch after the handstand I collapsed, I still wasn't used to it. And Tammy hit after a few more tries of the same thing happening the coach tells me to try to base Tammy and I can't say no so I do. My base gives me a look that says sorry as she teaches me the grip. The first thing we try is the handstand flip up but to extension and we hit it so I learn the rest of the stunt but then Tammy starts flirting with Jack and starts sticking her butt in his face more than she should and I realize that she's practically taking the spot right out from under me so the next time we do the handstand flip up I toss to little purposely and don't catch her when she comes down. And I immediately regret it but it's to late, Jack is yelling at me saying why I would do something like that and asking her where it hurts while giving her some of his water and rubbing her shoulders and she's crying. Then she asks him if he can sit out with her for the rest of practice and he agrees. I just stand there and Jean comes over and says it was clearly her fault for not flipping up fast enough and I don't correct him. Because apparently for anyone that wasn't in the stunt it looked that way.

At the end of practice Jack still isn't talking to me and when I look over at him and Tammy, their kissing she has her hands on the back of his head with her fingers grabbing his hair and he has his on her stomach and that's when he locks eyes with me immediately I look away and run out of the building.
Jack runs after me yelling my name but I just keep walking but not very fast because I just realize now I'm limping I guess when I ran out I hurt my ankle... I really don't know where I'm going I just know anywhere away from him and Tammy and suddenly he grabs hold of my arm and spins me around
"Tammy kissed me and if you even think for one second that I kissed her back you delusional, but you know what maybe you are why would you do that to her in the first place?!?" He yells at me
"She took my spot Jack! And maybe if you weren't so busy drooling over her ass you would have noticed that I was hurt!!!" I yell back
"Your hurt she was dropped on her head she said it was hurting!"
"Are you listening to what your saying? She wasn't dropped on her head I wouldn't do that all I did was not catch her! You do realize before today I haven't based a day in my life?!?"
"I'm so sorry Emily your right, I don't know what to say..." he whispers his anger dying down but not mine, oh no she kissed him!
"She kissed you Jack!"
"I know, I know but I didn't kiss her back."
"SO? You were flirting all of practice!!!"
He kissed me and I slap him, but he just kisses me again and I don't want or slap him, he pulls away
"Better?"
"NO IM PISSED AT YOU" Another kiss and this time I can feel the love, the desperation and the sorry I'm it and I can't stay mad. But then I remember that I didn't get the stunt and pull him back to The gym, I don't care how much my ankle hurts I'm not letting Tammy be center flyer after that stunt she pulled so on our way in I gather the troops and we stunt
I get it back the second try and it's better than ever, the coach sees and says "I knew you could do it. It's your spot Emily, always had been always will be." He says before walking away
