CHAPTER 12 - The Others

Tenbris finds himself in a dark place. Similar to the one that he encountered the other day. "Where the hell am I?"

"Don't lie to yourself, you know exactly where you are..." Tenbris hears a voice coming from behind him. Tenbris slowly looks back to see a huge demonic figure towering over him. "A-ah." Tenbris is at a loss for words at what he is seeing. He couldn't believe what was before him, "How curious." The demonic shadow starts to speak. "You have managed to control my own power, even though that was never my intention, brat." Tenbris got a hold of himself and asked the being before him. "What the hell are you? What do you want from me?!" The demonic figure laughs and completely ignores his questions, "Listen brat, I don't know how you managed to use my powers for your own intentions, but that's irrelevant now. I'll have a physical form soon enough before you even get close to mastering this power." Tenbris gets confused and tells the figure, "What do you mean by that?!" The figure ignores him again and says, "See you." Tenbris wakes up shaking and breathing heavily. He looks around him and sees Nasa and Mach fast asleep. What even was that? What did I grab back then? This isn't a coincidence, I really should be careful about whatever this thing wants. Tenbris thinks to himself. He then tries to go back to sleep, but can't even get a single hint of rest. Morning comes and Zoe bangs on the boy's door. "Hey, you guys! Wake up, everyone's waiting for you downstairs, hurry up!" Tenbris hears Zoe banging on the door and goes to wake up Nasa and Mach "Wake up guys we gotta meet the others." Nasa wakes up first, "Mmh, what time is it right now?" Tenbris looks at the clock on the wall "It's 9:17 am now, go get ready or we will be late. And don't worry, I'll take care of Mach."

"Ok, I'll just get up now." Nasa gets up, takes his glasses, and goes to the bathroom. Tenbris approaches Mach and tries to wake him up.

"Oi flying man, you should wa-" but before he could finish his sentence Mach jumps, "BAH!" Tenbris jumps back, "H-HEY! What the hell man?" Mach laughs "Hahahahaha! You should've seen your face, it was priceless!" Tenbris gets a little upset that he fell for Mach's cheap trick "Oh whatever, if you're already awake just get ready, Zoe wants us downstairs." Mach gives Tenbris a worried look, "Hey Tenbris, are you ok?" Tenbris looks a little confused. "What do you mean by that?" Mach starts to explain "Well, you were breathing heavily last night, so heavy that it woke me up. Is everything alright?" Tenbris remembers his interaction with the shadowy being and trembles for a moment "I-i'm fine, I was just having a nightmare." Mach looks at him suspiciously, "Are you sure man? You were kinda shaking in your sleep." Tenbris feels like he can't tell him what he saw, not yet at least. "It's fine, there is no need to worry about it, for now just get changed, and let's see what kind of people live here." Mach gets up, "Yeah whatever you say, man, I'll just get ready." Tenbris grabs Mach's shoulder and says, "Oh yeah, one more thing. Can you please try to get along with Ambrus and the others when we meet them?" Mach rolls his eyes. "Fine, I'll try to be a little more polite, now can I go and get ready?" Tenbris lets go, "Good, now let's all get ready for whatever professor Zoe is planning."

The three got dressed and they headed toward the door to find Zoe and a girl with a yellow suit by her side. "Good morning gents, you all had some rest?" Zoe seems to always be in a good mood. "Yeah, we all rested quite well," Tenbris replies. Nasa spots the girl and asks "Hi, who might you be?" The girl comes into view and starts speaking. "H-hello, my name is Hope, I've been asked by professor Zoe to come and accompany her to bring you guys downstairs to the meeting room." Mach starts staring at her with a deep look, "Hmm." Hope gets a little red and asks, "I-is something wrong?" Mach starts saying, "Wait, I recognize you, you were the one who came to our room the other day while we were sleeping!" Nasa and Tenbris look at each other then look back at Hope. "What?" both of them ask while giving Hope a suspicious glare. "D-don't get the wrong idea! I was asked to open the door by professor Zoe, then I left! It's only a coincidence that he spotted me!" The boys just laugh at it. Tenbris starts to say, "It's okay, you really don't need to be overthinking it." Zoe cuts in and says, "Well now that you have met Hope, why not meet the others downstairs?" Mach then excitedly says, "Yeah let's get this day started!" Nasa looks at Tenbris, "This is not going to go well." Tenbris shrugs his shoulders and says,"Ehh, it's probably fine." Nasa walks up to Mach and says, "Now will you please not start any unnecessary fights this time? You really should try and get along with everyone here, remember what we came here for?" Mach looks at Nasa with a reassuring look, "It's fine Nasa, I know what I'm doing this time, I promise." Nasa gives off a long sigh and says sarcastically, "Well, let's hope no one dies today!"
