CHAPTER 22 - Encounter

The trio makes their way to the dining room while discussing between themselves why the place was so quiet. They keep walking until they reach the door to the dining room. Mach steps in to open the door, "Ok we're here! Mind telling us what is going on?" To their surprise, the room was dark and seemingly no one was inside. Tenbris calls out "Uhh hello? Is anyone there?" Whispers can be heard, "two and three!" Suddenly, the lights open "Congratulations!" The lights suddenly open and all the students yell to surprise the group.

Luna steps in first "Congrats guys! How was your first actual mission?" Lotan goes second, "We heard a lot from Hope, but I'd like to hear it from you guys." Ambrus walks up to Nasa "Hey dude, can you really heal wounds?" Mach enjoys the attention, "Guys guys calm down, we will tell you everything." He says with a satisfied grin on his face.

Reyna and Jazz walk up to them. Jazz sarcastically says, "Hey guys, how was your first taste of death?" Reyna seems to have a calm face. "You guys better be ready for what's to come." Zoe approaches Jazz and Reyna from behind them and holds their shoulders, "Come on guys! Let's worry about the future later!" Nasa looks around the room to admire the designs in the room. There were colorful lights and stickers on the wall. Balloons were hanging from ropes and he noticed something weird.

"Hope? Why are you floating with the balloons?" Hope pouts and in a grumpy voice says "They do this every time! They force me to be a balloon for every celebration!" Flucht floats next to her using his energy rings "Oh come on, it's not that bad up here." Hope looks away "Well at least you can get down whenever you want! This is embarrassing."

Callen joins in, with Valen standing behind her. "Hello everyone! How was your trip?" She sticks her hand out to Tenbris to shake his hand. Tenbris reaches for her hand "Hey there Calle-" But before he could finish his sentence, Callen gives him a little electric shock. "Ow! Hey!" Callen laughs "Hahaha! Got you!" She starts to run while Valen apologizes to Tenbris "I'm sorry, she tends to prank others when she is happy." Tenbris shakes his hand "No it's ok Valen, it's fine to have some fun here and there." Mach mocks Tenbris "I can't believe you fell for the oldest trick in the book." Tenbris looks at Mach and says "How was I supposed to know that a shock was coming?" Mach shrugs his shoulders in a sarcastic manner.

Valen seems to want to ask Mach something but hesitates. Mach notices it, however, "What's wrong Valen?" something in your mind?" Valen looks down "I-i heard you were hurt, are you ok?" Mach gives him a big smile, "Of course I am! Don't worry about it, little guy!" Valen smiles "Oh heh. Ok then." Suddenly, Zoe takes the spot with Leo standing next to her, "Ok everyone, gather around the table real quick!" Everyone takes a seat while Jazz pulls Hope like a balloon closer to the table.

Zoe stands in front of the table with a glass of grape juice "Ok everyone! Today we celebrate Tenbris, Nasa, and Mach's first successful mission. Nasa was even able to discover something new about himself and saved the team from a gruesome disaster." Leo smiles pridefully when Zoe says that. Zoe keeps going, "So today, we are here to celebrate their bravery in handling such a dangerous task!" Everyone raises their glass and shouts "Congrats!" Everyone starts to eat and celebrate. The table was spread with various mouth-watering food and sweets. Ambrus and Mach can be seen fighting over a cooked chicken "Move! You can't eat a bird if you are one!" Mach fires back "Yeah well I think you should loosen up on the extra meals Ambrus!"

Flucht has his own conversation with Tenbris. "So I guess all that training together paid off huh?" Flucht asks Tenbris as he responds, "Yeah, it was quite difficult to catch up to you guys, especially to you." Flucht smiles. Jazz approaches the two and asks "Uhh Tenbris? Why're you still in the suit?" Mach and Nasa smirk when they hear that while Tenbris gets nervous, "I uhh- I think I look appropriate for the occasion like this..." Jazz stares at him "Right..."
