Y/N POV:

I had just finished washing the dinner dishes when the phone rang with a video call.  I grinned at the contact name and answered it quickly.  "Hey baby.  How's New York?  How was the flight?"

Jimin smiled but it seemed sad.  "It was okay.  Lots of fans at airports so it was a little scary.  They were trying to get close to us and it... it makes me scared."

My heart sank at his words.  I had seen the videos of fans showing up in full force at the airports, but I was hoping that this time things would be different.  Hearing Jimin say he was scared made it even worse.  "You okay?"  Jimin's bright smile was missing and it made me a little worried.

Shrugging his shoulders, Jimin sighed.  "Yeah.  I'm just happy to not be at airport and ready to go home.  I just... I miss you.  I see you almost everyday and now... now I haven't seen you since Saturday and since yesterday was so busy, I didn't get to talk to you then either."

"Aww baby, I miss you too, but you're not going to be gone very long.  You'll be back before you know it."  I tried to cheer him up, but I knew he was still feeling a little down.  "I watched your speech and the performance on YouTube.  I'm so proud of you.  So proud."

Jimin's eyes brightened at my words and his smile became a little more genuine.  "Thank you my Noona.  I love you."

A voice from behind him called out to him and Jimin sighed.  "I have to go.  Members want to get breakfast.  I'll be home soon."

"I'll be waiting for you."  I promised.  "I love you."

"I love you too."  Jimin gave me a last wave before disconnecting the call.

I set the phone down on the table and sat back on the sofa, my heart feeling heavy.  Jimin and the rest of the members had left on Saturday morning to fly out to New York City to speak at the United Nations General Assembly on Monday and record a special performance of one of their songs.  Later in the afternoon, Namjoon even spoke at the Met Museum.  It was an enormous honor for them and I was so proud to see them represent their country the way they did, but it felt a little strange still being in Korea while Jimin was in my home country.  I missed him a ton but I knew this was a special event for him and the rest of the guys.

After scrolling through my social media for a while and checking out some of the photos the guys posted, I turned off my phone and prepared to get ready for bed.  Since Jimin spent most nights at my place, it had been strange the last couple of nights falling asleep without him next to me.  Since the time difference was thirteen hours, it was hard to talk to each other, especially when since I was working yesterday and today and he had been so busy with everything, but I knew he would be home soon.  I turned off the light next to my bed and snuggled down under the blankets, hoping I would fall asleep quickly so I could dream of my Jimin.

The next morning came too quickly and I woke up, not having rested well the night before.  After talking to Jimin, I had been plagued by dreams of my sweet boyfriend's teary face as he tried to fight through the crowds at the airport, trying to get to my side.  It had been scary, but at least I knew he was safe right now.  Hopefully ARMY was a little more respectful when the boys flew home; they deserved their privacy just as much as anyone else.  I remember watching a live a few years ago when Taehyung had mentioned how scary it was for them to be stalked on airplanes.  Judging from Jimin's uneasiness last night, it was just as frightening now as it was then.

I looked down at my phone, seeing it was only 4 PM in New York.  I sent Jimin a quick message, just a quick hello, letting him know I missed him and that I hoped he had a good day.  I waited for a moment, but I knew the other members had mentioned things they wanted to do in New York so I assumed he was busy.  I hoped he was enjoying himself and getting to take a little bit of a break.  He definitely earned it.
