ANNABETH CHASE

Her day was going relatively normal until computer class.
At Piper's house, Percy and Grover told everyone how they'd got the computer teacher fired. That news spread quickly.

Annabeth walked into the computer class, with Will, Piper and Leo as always. She was expecting a substitute. She wasn't expecting her neighbour.
"Lee?" Will asked after walking in.
"Excuse me but that is Mr Fletcher. I'm joking, please don't call me that. Anyway, hi Will." Will's cousin, who lived beside Annabeth in apartment 7, was their new computer teacher by the look of things.

"You're not a teacher. Do you even know how to use computers? Wait- what is happening?" Will asked. Leo was laughing. "You're Will's cool cousin who was obsessed with poetry!"
"Yes, I am Will's coolest cousin. No, I'm not qualified to be a teacher, but who cares? Now sit down, everyone."

Surprisingly, everyone listened to Lee. Annabeth sat down, Will still looking completely confused.
"Alright, students stop talking. I'm Lee. Please just call me Lee. I'm also not a teacher, I was simply bored and managed to get a job."
"You were bored?!" Will asked. "So you became a teacher?"
"William Andrew Solace, no speaking out of term thanks. Oh, also, I'm Will's cousin, so feel free to bully him. Only in this class though. And yes, Will, I did. Why? To rub it in Michael's face. Imagine going to college. Whatta loser."

"Hehe. Your middle name is Andrew." Piper said.
"Yes, it is," Lee said. "Oh, also there was this one time-"
Will cleared his throat. "Shouldn't you be teaching?"
"Right, right. Uhm. Y'all play cool math games?" Lee asked. It was obvious he wasn't a computer teacher, but no one argued.

Rachel came over to them. "Imma force him to tell me every single embarrassing story about you. Sorry, Will." she went back to her seat. Will slammed his head into the keyboard.
For once, Annabeth helped Malcolm with the school website. The class went by quickly, thankfully it was lunch.

She sat at the usual table, Piper, Leo and Will beside her.
"I'm still so confused," Will muttered.
"Hey, he's way better than our old teacher," Piper said.
Percy Jackson approached the four of them.
"Aren't you sitting with us?" he asked. Annabeth couldn't help but smile. She looked around the canteen. Frank Zhang was talking to Nico and Hazel. Reyna was sitting across from Jason at their usual table, with Sherman, Damien and Drew.

"Yeah, sure." Annabeth shrugged. Hazel and Nico moved over to the table at the same time.
"Isn't Reyna and Jason coming over?" Nico asked, sitting down.
"Reyna's trying to get Jason to come over, y'know, the usual," Rachel said. "I think Drew, Sherman and Damien are starting to think Reyna and I are dating, they haven't annoyed her today."
"Do you need rumours to be spread quickly?" Nico asked.

"Well, not necessarily, though it'd help." Rachel said.
"Leave it to us." Hazel smiled.
Annabeth didn't know how Nico and Hazel, two quiet juniors, could spread a rumour quickly, but they looked at each other knowingly.
Reyna came back over and sat beside Rachel. Annabeth felt bad that they had to pretend to be dating, but they didn't seem to mind.

The table was pretty full, eleven of them sitting at it now.
"Isn't Jason coming?" Frank asked Reyna.
Reyna looked back over to him. "I think he will. Give him a second."
Reyna was right. A minute later, he came and sat beside Leo. Annabeth prayed Drew wouldn't join him.

Straight away, people started noticing the strange friend group. Percy and Jason? Sitting at the same table? And not fighting? Unbelievable.
Annabeth could believe it, though. She knew Percy and Jason could've easily been friends long ago.

Connor Stoll walked past their table. Hazel and Nico looked at each other.
"Hey, Connor," Hazel said. Connor turned around.
"Ey. My favourite emo and crystal bitch!"
Nico rolled his eyes. "I'm not- I mean- there's something we can tell you but you can't tell anyone. Some- uhm- word-"
"Gossip?" Hazel suggested.
"Yeah. We have some gossip." Nico nodded.
