Uh Oh

Ash slowly kneels beside Dawn, joining her on the grassy ground.

Both have no words.

Their brains are working in overdrive and spinning these crazy theories through their heads.

It's not everyday you find an abandoned girl in the woods.

Especially one in this condition.

Her light brown hair is messy and full of leaves.

Her skin pale as snow but dirty as under your bed.

Her flowery sundress barely its original white colour, the pink flowers hidden by grass stains and mud patches.

Most concerning part?

The blood.

Not fresh.

Dried blood.

She's been alone in the woods for awhile.

Alone.

She doesn't look older than seven.

Dawn holds the girl tightly in her arms.

The younger one tightly grabbing onto Dawn's skirt, burying her head into the fabric. She can feel the tears soaking into the clothing.

Dawn finds Ash's eyes, giving him a look of "what the distortion world do we do now?".

The obvious thing is to take her to Nurse Joy and get her fixed up and reunited with any family.

But something's stopping them from moving.

A green jewel catches their eye at the same time.

It faintly glows for a couple seconds, dangling around the child's neck.

And every light carries a message.

Unfortunately humans can't read light and the two trainers decide to head back to the Pokémon Centre.

Ash goes to take the girl from Dawn but there was no way either of the girls were letting go. Dawn's motherly instinct is at full power.

Ash helps them get onto Gastrodon and head down the river that conveniently goes somewhat towards Floaroma town. He begins to get on his own Gastrodon but something slaps his leg.

It didn't hurt or anything but he looks down to see the Psyduck hitting at his leg.

"Hop on," Ash smiles and the Psyduck stops his vicious attack.

The yellow Pokémon flops his very round body onto Gastrodon and they swim down the river. Ash keeps his eyes focused on the group in front of them, ready to act if needed.

Psyduck however is holding his head while wobbling around on Gastrodon. Of course the water type gets seasick.
