Third Person's POV
Feeling like travelling experts, Dawn and Ash made their way back through Jubilife City to Route 204. The early morning sun shines down on them while the smoggy air is replaced by a sweet aroma.
"I like this route best already," Dawn takes a deep breath of fresh air. "I wonder what kind of Pokémon we can find though."
"I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few in the flower patches everywhere," Ash laughs at Shinx, who's goal is to run through every flower field along the way. "Oh there's another pond." Ash frowns.
"How can you be such a downer?" Dawn throws her hands on her hips while pouting. "Just because we haven't found a fishing rod to buy yet, doesn't mean you need to keep a grudge against water."
"I'm just mad the largest city in the region didn't have one fishing rod."
"You could jump in the lake instead of using a fishing rod. Old style fishermen did it that way."
Ash glances at the nearest pond before looking back at Dawn. The blunette was too busy laughing at her own joke to notice the raven haired trainer take off his jacket and backpack.
She sees a shoe fly through her vision and that was the last thing she processed before hearing a splash. "Ash!" Dawn runs to the edge of the pond.
He surfaces with a disappointing look. "All the Pokémon swam away."
Dawn puts a hand over her mouth but not even that could control her laughter. "You—idiot," Dawn sits on the ground to help regain her composure.
"You made it up," Ash rolls his eyes and drags himself out of the water.
Dawn nods with her face beet red and tears coming out of her eyes from laughing so hard. Then two wet arms wrap around her and lift her off the ground. Her eyes fly open and she kicks her legs around trying to get free.
All that did was save her boots from the water.
"Ash my Poketch," Dawn tries to protest while squirming in his arms.
"Bryan said they're waterproof remember," Ash smirks and drops her on the edge, facing him. He lifts the beanie off her head to reveal her hair that is meticulously done every morning. "Sorry."
He gently pushes her into the water, causing a wave to fly up towards him. Not that it mattered since he's already drenched.
Dawn rises out of the fairly shallow water and her rage might actually be drying her off. Ash runs a hand through his hair to get it out of his eyes while smirking at the waterlogged girl.
She looks up at him, still in the water and angrily whispers, "Run."
Ash freezes and bolts in the opposite direction, he is getting chased way more than the average guy by this girl. He has by far more stamina and speed than Dawn but none of that comes into play when she's mad.
"Shiinx," The golden Pokémon visually radiating the sun jumps up and down to get Ash's attention.
Ash changes course for the Pokémon, hoping he has a way out of this. The raven haired boy gets into the field and continues to run away from the yelling and screaming girl.
Then he feels a stringy and sticky substance grab his ankles and tie them together. Ash falls face first into the beautiful pink, yellow, and blue colours of flowers.
He watches the string shot completely wrap around him up to his shoulders, limiting all movement below. Dawn smirks evilly and towers over him. "Hi Dawn," Ash tries to play nice. "We're friends right?"
