Third Person's POV

"Woah," Ash awes at the route before them. Last time they tried going through it, they got poured on. Now that the sun is out...

"It's beautiful," Dawn walks alongside Ash, through Route 205, the gateway to Eterna Forest.

It's a route like no other.

On one side is a short line of mountains and rocks, vents poking out to exchange air with the mines. A musky smell hanging still from the rain.

Then there's a valley filled with wild grass, sure to be the home of many Pokémon. Slightly flooded in some parts from yesterday's storm.

Finally there's another mountainous patch that delves into the valley. Then there's a river that wraps around the left and front sides of the route. The sparkling water rushing down the river.

"And we still don't have a fishing rod," Ash sighs.

"We'll get one eventually," Dawn rolls her eyes, taking them off her feet for the first time. "Awww Ash look what you did."

"Ahaha," Ash laughs at her pink, now brown covered shoes. Dawn has complained steadily about the mud and was careful to avoid every puddle. Her sassy reaction ruined it.

"Shinx," Dawn calls for the electric type's help. He has been perched on Ash's head to keep himself cleaned.

The shiny Pokémon smirks but then a Pokémon's cry gets their attention. Unfortunately the strange geography of the area is keeping them from seeing the creature in distress.

Ash bolts up a set of stairs carved into the mountainside. His feet run along the brown rock, loose pieces of rubble chipping off. "Shinx can you see a Pokémon yet?" Ash asks the electric type.

The Shinx evolution line is known for its near X-Ray vision at times. "Shin," He shakes his head. Apparently Shinx isn't at that stage yet.

"Ash we should check by the water," Dawn suggests, barely keeping up. The group stops to look at the blue barely visible between the trees.

"Let's go," Ash nods and they look for a way down to the riverside.

For a shallow ridge of stone, it sure is rocky and damaged. Sharp jagged pieces stick out, daring someone to try and get by. Thankfully Ash didn't go for it.

Finally they come across a bridge that connects the piece of land they're on to another part of the same mountainous ridge. Below is a flat piece of land that extends out of the valley.

That piece goes right to the river.

"We have to jump," Ash says and Dawn looks at him like he's crazy.

"That would be like jumping off the roof of my house!" Dawn argues.

Ash looks down below sadly, wishing he could become immortal and jump down without problem. Or grow wings. "Drifloon!" Ash exclaims and brings out the purple balloon Pokémon. "Need your help girl."

"Floooooon," The Pokémon cheers happy to give them a ride. She grabs on to Ash and carries him down first.

Dawn was a little freaked out but made it down eventually as well. The two decided that Drifloon could get some fresh air and fly though the gentle breeze for some exercise.

Then the Pokémon's cries begin again.

Ash and Dawn run along the river, not caring that their shoes are going to be really soaked from the mushy grass and mud combo. Eventually a small blue Pokémon comes into view on the river bank.
