A Pokémon trainer has a story for every one of their Pokémon. It could be an intense battle, a lucky chance, or a life saving meetup, and each one is special in its own way. And how special would it be if you could do it for the entire Pokédex...

A small beige Pokémon jumps out of the machine with a lot more energy than Cranidos had. The group quickly reacts to stop him from running into the crowd down below but the Pokémon sits obediently before they had to do anything.
His small little tail is wagging and I think he's fighting the urge to ram his shield-like face into the large variety of desks around. The fossil Pokémon's large eyes are looking all around at the four humans in front of him.

"Roark we haven't restored one of these yet," Eilmer says astonished. "Shieldon has basically been a myth in the history books up to this point."
"It's definitely not a myth anymore," Roark crouches down and pets the dark grey shield, Shieldon leans into the motion. Almost falling over from the feeling.
"If you guys check your Pokédex, Shieldon should be in it since it's a Sinnoh fossil Pokémon," Eilmer states while doing a quick checkup on the Pokémon to make sure he's healthy.
For once Ash brings out his Pokedex to scan the rock and steel type. "A Pokémon that lived in jungles around 100 million years ago. Its facial hide is extremely hard which it habitually polishes by rubbing against tree trunks. It is weak to attacks from behind," The device explains while showing a few pictures of ancient drawings.
After feeding and letting Shieldon practice his head butts on Piplup they head downstairs to show the crowd what they discovered. Dawn picks up the energetic Pokémon and carries him down.
The crowd watches with great curiosity...
"We have discovered a new Pokémon fossil!" Roark declares with a bright smile. So bright he had to adjust his glasses after pushing them off. "There's still many more secrets to be found in our mine and my brother and I can get right back to work on bringing people here!"
The crowd cheers and Ash taps the gym leader's back. "Now may be a bad time to ask but I did come here for a gym battle," Ash smiles sheepishly.
"Well then," Roark smirks and turns back to the crowd. "Ash here and his girlfriend Dawn helped us find Shieldon, and the boy wants a gym battle. So how about we bring the gym back to the way it was?"
Ash and Dawn were too flustered to protest while seemingly the whole town heads toward the gym. "Come on you two," Eilmer nudges then down the stairs and out of the museum.
The two teens look at each other before turning away quickly with red faces. They walk on opposite sides of Eilmer on the way. "You can probably guess this but Roark will likely use his rock types," Eilmer informs Ash as they walk down the beaten down street.
"Okay," Ash nods, trying to push away "thoughts" to formulate a battle strategy.
The group walks into the previously closed gym, only to see complete darkness. They can hear the murmurs of the crowd though...
