It was two days before Thanksgiving when the Corinthos clan; Avery's father, Sonny, her mother, Carly, older brother, Morgan, and little sister, Josslyn landed in Charming. Opie and Avery had wanted to get the cat out of the metaphorical bag as quickly as possible so they didn't waste much time. Gemma and Kristina had made sure that the bar at the clubhouse was deserted except for one trusted croweater who was just there to serve as a waitress. They had all gathered around two tables and Avery had been the one to break the news to her family.

"This is a fucking joke," Sonny slammed his hand down hard on the table, causing his wife and both his daughters to jump in their seats. "First Kristina and now you?!"

"What about Molly and Happy?" Opie had no fucking clue what to say so that is what he blurted out. Big. Fucking. Mistake.

Avery's mom, Carly, grabbed her glass and promptly drained the wine out of it before raising it in the air to tell the croweater that she needed a refill. When said croweater arrived with the expensive red wine that the clubhouse only stocked for her, she instructed her, "Leave the bottle, please."

"What about Molly and Happy?" Sonny Corinthos was now red in the face and a vein in his forehead looked ready to pop.

"Molly is Happy's old lady. She's even wearing his crow," Avery told the truth. "And she's going to murder me," she continued under her breath.

Opie knew that a full-blown screaming match was about to pop off so he got to his feet. Sonny stood as well but Opie was a big dude and completely dwarfed the older man. "Listen, Mr. Corinthos, I know she's young and that none of this was planned but I love your daughter. She's my wife and her and that kid are my responsibility. Me and you are family now, like it or not. We need to learn to at least co-exist because we've got big trouble coming our way and we really don't need a family feud taking center stage at the moment."

Sonny took a step back and rubbed his chin for a moment, apparently lost in thought.

"Is it Clay?" Morgan now stood up.

Opie nodded. "If you want more information, you're gonna have to talk to Jax but Clay has made moves against you, SAMCRO, and the family that, like it or not, we're both part of."

"Is that what Jax's poker game here tonight is all about?" Sonny finally spoke.

"Yes, sir."

"Does Gemma know?"

"She's known longer than me or Avery has," Opie confirmed.

"She's Team Jax," Avery added for clarification.

Sonny sighed. "I still don't like this." He gestured between the two of them. "But you're right," he looked at Opie. "Just remember one thing," he held up a finger. "Your life literally depends on her happiness," he pointed at Avery.

"Dramatic much, Pops?" Avery mumbled loudly.

Opie nodded even though he badly wanted to laugh. Keeping Avery happy was one of his favorite things in the world.
