Forgiving Mr. Alpha

River POV

I felt a knot form in my throat as I walked out the door. 'I'm a murderer' I think to myself as I struggle not to head back to the room. Tears slipped out of my eyes. Alpha or not, I will cry. I am losing my mate. My wolf howled inside of me and begged me to tell them not to do it. I fought against his words in my head, trying not to let them control me further.

'We can't. I'm so, so, sorry I let this happen to our mate. Our beautiful, wonderful mate. I would do anything in the world to get her back. I'm so sorry.' I felt an emptiness in my soul and I knew something was wrong. He was gone, my wolf. He left me.

'Please don't be like that. Please don't leave me too! Please, come back!' The hollowness remained inside me and I felt myself die. I have lost everything I ever cared about and wanted. My mate, my wolf, and soon my pack. I can't be an Alpha if my wolf is gone. Everything I need to survive is gone. And next, it will be me.

Aria POV

I struggled to open my eyes.

'Come on, Aria. One eye at a time, you can do this!' After an hour of struggling I finally lifted one eye barely. After a few more minutes both had opened. Relief filled me.

'I'm alive! We're alive!' My wolf jumped in joy inside of me. I say that I was in the hospital room. Suddenly many men and woman in scrubs surrounded me. They began talking and crying but I couldn't hear a word that they were saying. Panic filled me as I watched them talk to me but I didn't know how to respond.

'Aria?' I saw them mouth.

"I can't hear any of you. What is going on? Why can't I hear anything!" I said as tears weld up in my eyes. They began to talk to themselves and one of them pointed at the door. After a few minutes of everyone around me talking to themselves, a girl, maybe a few years older than me, walked in. She smiled at me but it was filled with pitty. She began to move her hands in front of me. Sign language, which I had taken since middle school.

'Can you read this' she signed

"Yes" I said with tears. She spoke with the doctors. Then the girl began to sign.

'The woman beside me is named Dr.House. Yes, like in the T.V show. She says that due to your condition she would like to keep you here to do a few tests to see why you have lost your hearing. She is not sure if it can be reversed. She is also wondering if you have any idea where the Alpha may be. We can not find a him or his sent anywhere. He will be over joyed to know that you are alive.'

"I will stay, but I don't know where River is. Is he not around the house?"

'No, as far as we know, he isn't even on our territory. '

I shot straight up when I hea-saw that information signaled to me.

"Not on the territory? What do you mean 'not on the teritory?!"

'We mean, we can't find him.' After that, I ignored everything they sai-signaled to me. The only thing that I needed to do was to find River. He was my priority. I found my clothes neatly folded on the table beside me. I grabbed them and ran to the bathroom to change. I saw the door shaking and I knew that they were banging on the door for me to open it. I didn't. They would make me stay here, and that is a no-go. After changing into fresh clothes I opened the door and sped out of the room faster than normal. I looked at my body and amazement. What was that? I began to walk normally until I made it to the door of the pack house. I ran in the woods, and for some odd reason I was going very quickly, I didn't care. I reached the edge of the territory and searched until I found his scent.

'He's here.' I told my wolf. I heard her squeal in enjoyment. I followed the scent the the river.

"River?" I called out but of course, I couldn't hear anything. I looked down the river and saw a bridge with a figure standing on it. I felt my chest beat wildly in my chest.

"RIVER!"
