"Shut up." I hissed as I reached for my phone, blaring and waking me up. I saw who was ringing me. My anger faded away as I read it was Brian.
"Hello?"
"Hi, sorry honey but today is there any chance you could work?"
I thought, well there really isn't much to do today so... why not, plus it's only 10am at the moment.
"Sure, normal time?"
"Yeah, thank you, I'll be paying you extra. See you Y/n."
"Ok. See you Bri."
I smiled, hanging up. I almost completely forgot that Danny was clung to me. When I looked back at him, he looked back. "Sorry, go back to sleep if you want." I softly apologised. "No, it's ok. You said we needed to go shopping?" He sat up and stretched. "Yeah, actually. I'll need a shower first though." I remembered the events of yesterday and, instead of feeling guilt, I just smiled to myself, proud.
30 minutes later
I had finished drying my hair and was ready. I applied some light makeup and looked over to Danny. (If you don't wear makeup, feel free to ignore this). He was writing in his diary or whatever. I had seen him nose-deep in it a few times. "Hey, Danny. Not to be a pain or anything but what is that?" I pointed towards the book in his hands. "Oh. This?" He held it up and I nodded. He seemed enthusiastic to tell me about it. "It's where I write drafts for my articles, you know, the newspaper ones. Yeah, I practice in here before publishing." He showed me the neatly packed lined pages. His handwriting was cursive yet I could make it out, which I was happy about because I hated reading cursive.
"Are you ready to leave?" He closed it and clicked his pen, plopping the two down on my desk. "Sure."
I started up my car as he got in, and I had to say, he looked amazing. Yet it was a simple black button up shirt and dark grey skinny jeans he looked great. He's so handsome. I turned on my cd player, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was in there already and I was half way through the album. Must've been from the last trip I took. I turned up The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You to the max and looked over to Danny, hoping he would approve. Well, even if he didn't, I'd still be playing it.
He smiled brightly at me, giggling. "Not heard this one in years." My eyes widened slightly and I registered that this man was god himself. Well, more like the devil but he was mon dieu (my god). "Bet." I snickered, jamming as we rode on our way to the local supermarket.
"Wait, Y/n. Let's check the radio for a quick sec." He paused my music, I didn't mind too much. I turned the radio back down as he turned the dial to our local radio station.
Yesterday's events still remain a mystery, we take this to be the work of the infamous Ghostface.
Moving on, Jed Olsen, main journalist on the murders of Mentetwin as of recently was interviewed just last night as the murders took place. This proves that we aren't getting anywhere with our accusations and, we do solemnly apologise for this Mr. Olsen, really. In this desperate time we hope to find the true murderer of all those innocent people. That's all, talk after, Mentetwin.
The man on the radio sounded glum, I was familiar with him but I guess there wasn't much brightness to the situation he was regarding.
"Apology accepted." Danny chuckled. "Great to know they have no leads." I huffed in relief. "Mhm." He turned back on our music.
10 minutes later.
"Alright, we're here." I pretty much woke up Danny from his little trance. "Oh. Ok." He sat up, smiling like a goof. He unbuckled his seatbelt and did the same for mine as I was grabbing my bags for shopping. "You got your purse?" He gestured toward the cupholder. "No, actually." I nervously snorted, embarrassed as I grabbed it. "Thank god for me being here, hm?" He bragged, getting out of the car and smirking in at me before closing the door. I sighed at his exhausting enthusiasm and got out of the car too. It was a Sunday so it wasn't gonna be too busy hopefully.
"Ooo! Let's make tacos." (If you don't like tacos change it C:) Danny pointed to the taco kits just as we walked in. I had grabbed a small trolley (shopping cart) and was browsing the entry of the store. "Get it, does it come with the spices?" I asked before he tossed it into our minimal shopping - which at the moment only contained some juice and cookies. "Uhh... yeah." He read the box. "Cool, now we need to get vegetables and ground beef, first we need more snacks."
Danny and I had finished shopping and were stocking up the cupboards and the fridge. We got some freezer stuff aswell. I felt accomplished, although it wasn't that long since I last went shopping, it was literally last week. "We'll make the tacos for lunch." By lunch I meant like half twelve as it was 11:45 at the time. "Ok, let's chill." Danny stuffed the last of the instant noodles into the pasta cupboard.
I gave out a long sigh and stretched, tired by actually leaving the house. I came back to earth unfortunately from whatever ethereal plane I was visiting in my moment of muscle relief, to see Danny already sitting like a house cat on my sofa. He stared me down eagerly as to say 'come on let's watch something'. I answered his pleas with a stride over to the couch. "American Horror Story?"
"American Horror Story."
