Ashwika

Aama ipo naan ethuku tension aguren? Avaru azhaga irukaru athunaala avaru mela neriya peruku crush irukathaan seiyanum. (Why am I getting worried now? He is a handsome looking guy and it obvious that many will have crush on him)

I break my stare down on Anu and ask Siva, if this is the Anu he has mentioned, "Ivaanga thaan aniku meeting la neenga sonna Anu va?"

He sighs and says, "Aama maa, ivanga Pallavi kooda serninthu Research head ah irupanga," (Yeah, she'll be working alongside Pallavi as Research head).

"Ohh super akka," I forward my hand for a shake hands and she takes mine with a smile on her face. "Siva neenga entha flat nu sollunga naan poi pathutu varen neenga rendu perum pesitu irunga," (Siva, you tell me the flat number I'll go and get checked, you both have a chat).

"Illa na un kooda varen," (No, I'll accompany you), he replies to me and to Anu, he says, "We will meet on Monday."

She nods and replies, "Sure, I too have shifting work to do. See you on Monday." We walk apart and I follow Siva into the building. We get into block C and go up to the fifth floor in the lift, throughout the way Siva hasn't spoken a word to me, thinking of something and in spite of my control my mind goes back to Anu Akka.

She said she had a crush on Siva, in past tense, which means she doesn't have any feelings now. But why does she have to say that now? Arghhh...Why am I thinking about it again?

Stay Calm Ashwi, Breathe in, Breathe out.

"Ena maa, ethachem problem ah?" (Any problem, maa?) Siva asks me.

"No .. nothing," I assure him and he rings the doorbell for his friend to open. "Darling, they are here," Siva's friend calls for his wife and welcomes us inside his house.

Immediately, after we enter, he shows us a sanitizer placed on a small wooden almirah near the entrance where we cleanse our hands. He makes us get seated on the sofa, as Siva introduces me to his friend Sanjeet. His wife comes out of her room, greets us and walks into the kitchen.

"Darlinggg, a minute please," she calls her husband and he too goes into kitchen after excusing himself from us. Siva checks his phone and I look at him, "Ellarum ellaraiyum darling nu ellam kopuduranga." (Everyone is calling each other as darling).

"Yaaru" (Who?)

"Sanjeet Anna, calling Aneesha Akka as darling, Aneesha Akka calling Sanjeet Anna as Darling

"Sanjeet Anna, calling Aneesha Akka as darling, Aneesha Akka calling Sanjeet Anna as Darling. Even in office, Puvi Anna calls Pallavi akka as darling and vice versa."

"Seri," (Okay), he drags.

"Illa Chumma sonnen." (Nothing, simply said), he continues with his phone.

What else, I can expect him to say.

Siva's friend and his wife return with snacks and coffee, before they could place the trays on the coffee table, I say that Siva doesn't drink coffee or tea, "Avaru coffee tea ellam kudika maatar, akka."
