I sat on the swing and lazily swung it. My UKG exams are over and holidays have started but others are still studying. After half yearly holidays, I couldn't see Raj Mama either.

"Ennadi, Thangam sogama iruka?" Ilakkiya aththai crouches next to me. (What happed dear you are looking sad?)

"Vilaiyaada yaarum illa nu madam ku romba kavalai," Mom replies to her and I pout at them. (Madam is sad because she has no one to play with her.)

"Acacho athu romba periya kavalai yaache." She thinks, looking at the sky and I look at the sky to check what's there. When I look down there is an alpenliebe lollipop in Aththai's hand but more than that the sight in front of me excites me and I try to slide down the swing. "Inimae iva kannaku namma theriya maatum." Aththai helps me down the swing. (Awww. It's a bigger problem. Hereon she won't mind our existence.)

I take the lollipop from her hand and run, "Mama."

"Hey Papa, pathu pathu," he lifts me up and twirls me in the air. (Careful, Careful.)

It feels like I'm flying and I scream in joy. He lowers me and holds me in his arms. "Enna achu en kitty cat konjam olli agitu irukku." He walks us towards where mom and aththai are standing and I clung to his left. (What happened to my Kitty cat? She seems like she lost some weight.)

"Exams ellam eppadi panna?" Mom asks him and I forward him the lollipop. (How did you do your exams?)

"Nee sapidu, papa" he pushes it back to me and replies to my mom. "Nalla pannen ma'am." (You have. Did well, ma'am)

"Ethana vaati akka nu kopidu sonnalum kekkatha," She shakes her head in denial. "Seri, enakku konjam velai irukku nee ava kooda vilaiyaaditu iru. Ipothaan sirikura ivlo naal moonja thooki veetu mottu mela vachi iruntha." (You never listen to me when I ask you to call me Akka. Well, I have some work, you play with her. Look at her, how well she is beaming. All these days she was cranky.)

Ilakkiya aththai and Raj Mama laughed at my mom's comment and I glared at them with the lollipop in my mouth.

"Koovatha paaru, enga little heiress ku. Ennai miss paniya?" I beam at him and bury my face in the crook of his neck. (Our Little Heiress is so angry. Did you miss me?)

"Seri pathuko naanga varom," Ilakkiya aththai and mom start leaving and Raj mama stops them. (Okay, you take care of her, we are leaving now.)

"Papa va thaniya vittu poorenga?" He asks them. (You both are leaving her alone?)

"Unkooda thaane vitutu porom." Mom looks at him confused. (We are leaving her with you.)

"Illa kozhanthangala yaar koodavum thaniya vidakodathu nu soluvangale athan." Raj mama drags out his words hesitantly. (They usually say that we should not have kids with others. That's why.)

"Yeppa, 12th std mudicha periya manusha, enga ponnu yaar kita thaniya vidalam vidakoodathu nu engalukku nallave theriyum. Enna aanaalum nee avala pathrama pathupa nu nambikkai iruku ippo naanga poi enga velai ah paakalama?" Mom points her hands towards the side door of the mansion and leaves after Raj mama nodding his head at them. (Ohh. Dear High School completed older man, we know with whom we can leave our daughter alone to play. We trust that you will keep her safe in any situation. Shall we leave now?)
