Summer's POV
I can't believe what is happening. I am really close to loosing my wife again and this time it will be permanent and I know exactly who to blame.
"Summer I know this is driving you crazy but you need to calm down." My sister told me while I was walking back and forth in my living room, waiting for a call or something about my wife's situation.
" I can't calm down. It is Alex we are talking about. I need her. We all need her and we can't lose her. Not again.!" I told her not stopping what I was doing.
"Honey..." Silvia said stopping in front of me and grabbing my hands. "...I know you are nervous. I am too, but we need to stay calm. We have to, for the kids. They are already worried enough we should not make them more worried." She said with a calming voice.
I don't know how she does that. But she is right. I have to stay strong for my kids. Only positive thoughts from now on. In the end, it is Alex we are talking about, she will be fine like she always is. Right?
I sat on the couch next to my little girl that was clearly really worried about her mom.
"Hey, she promised you to stay right?" I asked her and she nodded her head. Tears were running down her cheeks. "Then be sure that your mother will never break a promise to her princess." I told her wiping her tears away and kissing her forehead.
"I am sure mom can handle this. She is calm, she never gets nervous, she is going to say the right things like always and she will be back before we know it." Taylor said trying to reassure all of us.
She is her mother's daughter after all.
"Well, she does not always know the right thing to say..." Sara said and made eye contact with Lia. When their eyes met they both immediately burst out laughing like crazy.
"Auntie is right. There are some things mom does not know how to handle." My youngest daughter managed to say between laughter.
"What are you talking about?" Silvia asked as confused as every other person in this room.
Then Lia started. "Well..."
Flashback
Lia's POV
"Ok, Lia you are going to stay here and wait for your mom to come and pick you up, ok?" My teacher said to me as I was waiting for my mother.
I have a weird stomach ache and I when I told my teacher she told me to go home.
Not even ten minutes later my mom came to pick me up.
"Hey little princess, what is wrong?" She asked me kneeling to my height.
"I have a stomach ache and my teacher told me to go home. I am sorry you had to leave your job." I know that she has to work and as much as I miss her because she works a lot of hours a day and I barely see her, I understand why she does that.
"No baby, don't say sorry. You and your sister are my priority. Nothing is more important for me than you. Never forget that." She told me and hugged me.
She gives those magic hugs that always calm me down and make me feel safer. When I am with her I am not afraid of anything.
"Now let's go home." She said pecking my cheek.
"Can we get ice cream. I want something sweet." I told her and she raised an eyebrow at me.
"No princess. You have a stomach ache. Eating sweets is not going to help your situation." She said as we made our way towards the car.
