Chapter 34

Chanyeol had hardly been at home, after that one night both of them had been in bad terms and therefore avoided each other at all possible causes.

He reached home feeling a whole roller coaster of emotions inside him.

He reached home to find his mother sitting alone in the dining room drinking room.

"Welcome home son" she said in a calm voice, Chanyeol nodded his head in response but this time instead of walking up to his room he entered the dining room and sat next to his mom.

"I'm sorry" he said keeping his head low,
"What for?" his mother asked him, "For everything, for the tantrum I caused for disrespecting dad, for being a homophobic" he said, tears filled his eyes,
"M-Mom I just wanted you to be happy- I was mad at dad and I felt like he betrayed us, the pain you carried for so many years, ignoring the rumours and gossips like you didn't care for our sake, for our sake and yet all I ever did was hurt you" he said his voice shaking as tears fell and he had no control over it.

"I- don't want my homophobia to be the cause of someone's death, I'm a terrible person" he said, his mother hugged him back with tears in her eyes, "Chanyeol we all make mistakes in life" she said in between her sobs, "But it is up to us whether we learn from it or make the same mistakes till it's too late to make things right, it's not too late now Chanyeol, and don't ever forget that you're the best son I'd ever have" she said.

Chanyeol found himself blurting all the things he had done to his mom and as expected his mom was not happy about it.

"I'm not pleased with what you did, but you started this mess so I expect you to fix it" she said, Chanyeol nodded his head as he wipped his tears away, "I will, no matter what it causes" he declared.

Kyungsoo found himself standing outside Baekhyun's apartment as his mother had called him to visit.

The woman opened the door and welcomed Kyungsoo inside with a warm welcome.

They sat on the living room in utter silence for a moment,then Mrs Byun coughed then began to speak.

"About Baekhyun, I'm so sorry if he had ever done anything to hurt you, but that boy has never had anything easy" she said, "I don't understand myself right now but I find myself trusting you and I'm going to tell you something about Baekhyun that no one else knows, please keep this a secret and if you can please help Baekhyun out" she said, Kyungsoo just nodded his head then Mrs Byun began to tell him about Baekhyun's past.

She was in tears when she had finished telling Kyungsoo everything, Kyungsoo patted her back in a manner to comfort her, he felt something turn in his stomach because he had no idea what Baekhyun was going through, yes there was no excuse that the other had been a jerk to him but he found himself slowly understanding the boy, he gulped, why was he feeling sad for Baekhyun?

Chanyeol collected his guts and made his way to Sehun's place, he stood outside Sehun's house and took a deep breath then knocked on the door, it was answered by an adult.

"Yes?" the person questioned, "Uh- Is Sehun at home?" Chanyeol asked, "He's in his room" the male said, "Come in" he directed Chanyeol to enter, "Are you his friend?" He asked, Chanyeol nodded his head slightly, "Yeah you could say that" Chanyeol mumbled, the other eyed Jim suspiciously before, "My name is Junmyeon and I'm his older brother so don't even think about hurting him or it won't be good" he said, "Okay" Chanyeol answered.

Junmyeon knocked on Sehun's door, "Sehun, your friend is here to see you" Junmyeon said, Sehun opened the door, he frowned in disappointment when he saw who it was, "What are you doing here?" he asked, "I wanted to talk to you about something" Chanyeol nervously said, Sehun was still frowning but nodded his head and let Chanyeol in his room as Junmyeon left.

"What do you want?" Sehun asked with his arms folded as he closed the door, "Sehun I just came to tell you I'm sorry, I know what I did is unforgivable but can you give me one more chance? I'm sorry for hurting you, for betraying you, for being an ass, I really am, and I want to fix it" Chanyeol said, Sehun was quite and did not respond.

"I don't even know if I can trust you" Sehun responded, Chanyeol turned to Sehun, "I really am sorry Sehun" he whimpered and felt his tears finally forming up, his shoulders shaking as he cried, "Are you really crying?" Sehun asked, what Chanyeol did to Sehun had probably hurt Sehun in ways that one can't explain but Sehun was a kind person , he was someone who wouldn't even hurt a fly, he was not cold hearted and at that moment he felt bad for Chanyeol, maybe he should actually give the other a chance? Everyone deserved a second chance didn't they?

Sehun approached Chanyeol and gently patted his back, "I'll forgive you Chanyeol but don't break my trust again or else I'll never be able to forgive you, he said.

"Thank you Sehun" Chanyeol said, Sehun nodded his head, "It's fine, I believe that everyone deserves a second chance" he said with a small smile.

Junmyeon and Yixing were sitting outside a small cafe with warm cups of coffee, the two had their hands interlocked, they had off course gotten closer as time ticked, Yixing was at first disappointed when he realised Junmyeon was one of Sehun's brother but as he got to know Junmyeon Yixing found himself thinking about the male day and night.

He wasn't that bad after all?

Junmyeon took a sip of his coffee then peeked at Yixing, the man who had brought him all the comforts he had ever needed, just then Yixing looked right at him, "Junmyeon?" He called out, "Yes?" Junmyeon questioned, "What do you think about marriage?" Yixing asked.
