"Love, it's going to be okay, I'm here. I'll always be here."

Those words are repeating through my head, like a broken record. I'm not sure where I am, all I know is my mind feels cloudy, I want to open my eyes but have no energy to do so.

I hear someone shifting near me, they reach for my hand and give it a small squeeze.

"Allison," Stefan speaks softly, "I am so sorry." He sounds guilty but remorseful. I'm not sure why he would be apologizing to me.

Then it slowly starts to come back to, the flashbacks of being in Matt's truck, Tyler dying, driving off the bridge into the water, watching Elena soundless screams, and the final goodbyes as my lungs empty with oxygen and filled with water.

Am I dead? Is that why I can open my eyes? Is that why my brother is crying by my side? He feels guilty that he didn't save me, or maybe he feels guilty for being such an awful brother these past few weeks and now I am dead and he can't make up for all the awful things he's done.

A door opens, "Stefan," it's Meredith, "Damon is here, do you want me to tell him about..." She pauses, taking a deep breathe, "about the girls?"

Stefan release my hand, "no, I will do it." I can't see him move from my side but I can hear him push the chair back and walk out the door.

"About the girls?" She means me and Elena, which means we both died, that has to be the answer to all of this.

"Where is she?" Damon's voice booms through the air, I can't hear the response as I slowly fade back into darkness.

"We have to get her out of here?" Damon says, "the Council  is still on a hunting spree thanks to Alaric being a little snitch."

"I know," Stefan agrees, "but she's not stable we can't exactly move her right now."

"Well she can't stay here, this is a game of hide and seek and right now her hiding spot isn't exactly discrete." Damon barks back, "you know what you already got to make a decision that put all of us in a really bad predicament. So you don't get to make choices anymore."

There is tension in the air and I'm not sure what is happening. I feel myself fighting the darkness, wanting to open my eyes and to see their faces but I am too weak.

"Damon," Stefan sighs, "I was respecting her wishes."

"Yeah and now look where we are?" Damon scoffs, "our sister is the next sleeping beauty, and Elena is in transition."

"Bonnie is working on a spell," Stefan whispers.

"Way to get her hopes up for something that's never happened in the history of vampirism." Damon laughs.

I hear someone stand, "You know what, you weren't there the day Elena looked me in the eye and told me she absolutely never wanted this." Stefan firmly says.

"Then you shouldn't have let her die." Damon replies.

Stefan sighs again, "I never meant for her to die. She asked me to help Matt first and I did.

"What about the choice with your little sister?" Damon asks.
