It's been a week since I found out that Klaus had compelled me to forget about my brothers, and I had been spending my whole life thinking I was alone in this world. Thinking that Klaus was the one who found me and saved me - gave me a purpose.

My phone buzzes again, and I hit ignore; Klaus has been trying to call me every day since the night in the cellar. But I am just not ready to talk to him, let alone seen him.

Today is my first day at Mystic Falls High School - I practically had to plead with Damon to let me enroll. Going to high school is something I have always wanted - to be a normal teenage girl. No one would know that I am over 150 years old and should be six feet deep in the Mystica Fall Cemetery. They would think I am just the average 17-year-old girl who moved in with her older brothers after finishing her sophomore year at boarding school overseas.

Heading into the kitchen, I see Damon standing by the stove, flipping pancakes. "Good morning," I say, sitting my new book bag down on the counter.

He looks up at me and eyes my outfit, "You're wearing that?" He questions.

I spend hours on the website called "Pinterest," looking at what teenagers wear to school. I ended up in a black fitted tank-top with light blue jeans. I had pulled my hair into a side-braid and even put a little lip gloss on. "What's wrong with it?" I ask, looking down at my tan ankle boots, Elena loaned to me.

He shook his head, "You're showing a lot of skin."

Stefan walks in from the living room, "Are you ready for your first day?"

I smile and grab my bag, "Yes, let's go."

Damon stops flipping pancakes, "Uh-no, put a sweater on."

I eye him, "Are you serious?"

He suddenly dashes out room and appears back with a tan sweater, throwing it at me. "Here, wear this."

I look at Stefan and see him hiding a smirk. I roll my eyes and shrug the sweater over my shoulders. "Happy?"

Damon smiles, "Very, now of you little kids go, I have big plans today that don't involve babysitting my younger siblings."

"Here is your class schedule," Stefan hands me a white piece of paper.

I eye the courses, raising an eyebrow: Chemistry, History, Spanish 2, Gym, and Calculus. "So should I act like I don't understand anything when I am in class or act naturally?"

Stefan chuckles, "You can act like you know whatever you want, but don't be expressing that you were alive for Pearl Harbor or had a drink with JFK." The sound of a bell ringing alerts us that we have to head for our first hour. "See you at lunch?" Stefan asks.

I shake my head, "Of course." He turns down the hall, and I see him meet up with Elena and Caroline, who I met last weekend when she came over with Elena to give me a complete makeover.

I walk into the first-hour class, the room full of students goes to complete silence, and I can feel eyes burning into me.

The teacher quits writing on the board and walks over to me, "You must be Allison Salvatore." She looks at me from the rim of her eyeglasses. I nod as I hand her the required paper that all teachers are supposed to sign. She scribbles her name and then points to a desk in the back between two boys, a muscular brown-eyed brunette and a blonde with beautiful blue eyes. "There is an empty seat back there between Mr. Lockwood and Mr. Donovan." Handing the paper back to me, I walk towards my new assigned seat.

I sit down in my seat and grab my notebook; I can feel the brunette staring at me. I look out of the corner of my eye, "Yes?" I ask.

He shakes his head, "Nothing, can't believe there is another Salvatore Vampire in town, that's all."
