Dear Niklaus,

How is the summer almost over, yet I feel I've accomplished nothing. Based on your voicemails, New Orleans has been keeping you very busy, I wish you'd let me come visit, especially since you were so persistent on my joining you down there a couple months ago.

I still don't know how I'm supposed to do this whole college thing. Elena asked me to room with her, Caroline and Bonnie but I decided to defer a semester just to make sure my brothers will survive on their own. Tyler hasn't came back as he's helping a wolf pack in Tennessee despite you allowing him to come back

Matt is off with your sister and he has been sending postcards. I think they're in Amsterdam now...or was it Prague? I can't keep track, and honestly, I'm not sure I really want to know. I guess our time together wasn't very memorable.

Stefan hasn't been home since he took Silas off to sink at the bottom of whatever body of water. I tried to call him a few times but he doesn't seem to want to talk. Not that I blame him, Damon and Elena have been attached at the hip all summer. They don't seem to understand that no one else wants to watch them kiss every five seconds.

Anyway, I can't wait to see you. When do you get back?

Love, Allison

I close my laptop and grab my car keys. today is the first day of Jeremy's senior year, and Damon asked me to take him, to ensure he actually goes.

Jermey is standing by the front door looking miserable. "I know you really don't want to go to school again but at least it's your finally year." I simile at him.

He rolls his eyes, "I can't believe Elena is forcing me to go back to school."

"I can see where you're coming from, you did die and we did hold a memorial for you and now you're back from the dead." I open the door and head to the car.

He mumbles something under his breath that I can't hear in climbs in the passenger seat. "It's your senior year, cheer up!" I grin at him.

Although, Elena had big hopes for Jeremy getting back into the swing of things and being normal. The other students had different agendas and Jeremy ended up in a brawl. So now we are sitting in a booth at the grill. Jermey is downing a drink of bourbon while I snack on some fries.

"Are you going to say hi to him or what?" Jermey asks me.

I look at him, "who?"

"Matt. You've been eyeing him since we walked in here." Jermey downs his bourbon.

I shake my head, "No. He dumped me then went and traveled with Rebekca the entire summer. I don't need anymore humiliation."

"Didn't he dump you because you still have feelings for Klaus?" Jeremy points out.

I narrow my eyes at him, "that's fair."

"What about Tyler?" Jermey asks, "didn't Klaus say he could come back to Mystic Falls. Why isn't he here yet?"

I bit my lip, "I'm not sure. He keeps saying he's going to come back, start college with the girls and I'd join him in the spring. However, he hasn't made it up to the campus yet based off the text Caroline has sent me," I sigh, "but if I'm being honest he has been dodging my calls recently, I have no idea where we stand anymore."

Damon approaches us, "One day. One day where you don't screw it up."

Jeremy rolls his eyes, "Leave me alone, Damon."
