Ooh, I do, I do, I do, I do (hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey)

"That's awesome!" Es exclaimed with bright eyes as she watched the show before her. "The mix between A Winter's Ball and this song is amazing!"

Hey! Ooh, I do, I do, I do, I do (Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey)

Boy, you got me helpless
Look into your eyes, and the sky's the limit

"Everyone keeps mentioning my eyes," Hamilton mentioned. "I don't get why!"

"They're really pretty," Es said as smiled at Hamilton. Hamilton blushed slightly, smiling back at the young girl.

I'm helpless
Down for the count, I'm drownin' in 'em

I have never been the type to try and grab the spotlight

"That's definitely true," chuckled Jefferson.

We were at a revel with some rebels on a hot night
Laughin' at my sister as she's dazzling the room
Then you walked in and my heart went, "Boom!"

"It did?" Hamilton smiled. Laughing breathlessly, he couldn't help but feel his heart explode with pure love for his lover.

Tryin' to catch your eye from the side of the ballroom
Everybody's dancin' and the band's top volume
Grind to the rhythm as we wine and dine
Grab my sister and whisper
"Yo, this one's mine" (ooh)

"She did, but she talked to Lillianna and not me," Angelica mentioned as Aspen nodded in agreement.

My sister made her way across the room to you (ooh)

Instead of only Angelica going over there, it was Angelica and Eliza. A strange sensation washed over Es as she watched the scene. Was it... jealousy? But why did she feel jealous? Alexander already had a lover, so why was she getting jealous?

And I get nervous thinking
"What's she gonna do?" (Ooh)
She grabs you by the arm
I'm thinkin', "I'm through" (ooh)
Then you look back at me

And suddenly I'm helpless
Oh, look at those eyes (look into your eyes)

Es glanced at Hamilton, who was already looking at her.

And the sky's the limit
I'm helpless (I know)
Down for the count and I'm drownin'
Helpless (I am so into you)
Look into your eyes (I am so into you)
And the sky's the limit
I'm helpless
I know I'm down for the count
And I'm drownin' in 'em

Eliza noticed the two looking at each other and felt her heart break, knowing she'll never be able to get with Hamilton. It was like what had happened at the ball itself, everything slowed for the two of them and it was clear.

Where are you taking me?
I'm about to change your life
Then by all means, lead the way
Esper Washington
It's a pleasure to meet you
Washington?
My godsister
Thank you for all your service
If it takes a war for us to meet, it will have been worth it
I'll leave you to it

One week later
I'm writin' a letter nightly
Now my life gets better, every letter you write me
Laughin' at me sister 'cause she wants to form a harem
I'm just sayin', if you really loved me, you would share him
Ha!

"Really, Angelica?" Madison laughed. Angelica merely blushed.

Two weeks later

"Two weeks?!" Jefferson was shocked. Hamilton merely shrugged.

In the living room stressin'
My fathers' stone-faced
While you're asking for their blessin'
I'm dying inside as you wine and dine
And I'm tryin' not to cry
'Cause there's nothing that your mind can't do (ooh)

My fathers make their way across the room to yo (ooh)
I panic for a second, thinking, "We're through" (ooh)
But then they shake your hand and say, "Be true" (ooh)
And you turn back to me, smiling, and

Helpless
Look into your eyes
And the sky's the limit
I'm helpless
Down for the count (ooh)
And I'm drownin' in 'em
Helpless (that boy is mine)
That boy is mine
Look into your eyes and the sky's the limit
I'm helpless (helpless)
Down for the count and I'm drownin' in 'em (yeah)

Esper, I don't have a dollar to my name
An acre of land, a troop to command, a dollop of fame

"I doubt she'll care about that," Es said, looking at Hamilton. "If she likes you for you, isn't that enough? You don't need to be lavished to be loved. Nor do you need fame. Just be yourself and that would be enough." For a split second, it felt s if his lover was talking to him, yet he knew she was at home with their first son Philip.

All I have's my honour, a tolerance for pain

A worryingly high tolerance for pain, noted Mulligan as he glanced over at the boy he had looked after for the first year of him living in America.

A couple of college credits and my top-notch brain
Insane, your family brings out a different side of me
Peggy confides in me

Peggy grinned.

Angelica tried to take a bite of me

Majority of people looked at Angelica who refused to look at anyone, especially Hamilton.

No stress, my love for you is never in doubt

Really? Madison, Jefferson, and Philip thought sadly.

We'll get a little place in Harlem and we'll figure it out
I've been livin' without a family since I was a child

Hamilton bowed his head in remembrance to his father, his mother, and his brother.

My father left, my mother died, I grew up buckwild
But I'll never forget my mother's face, that was real
And long as I'm alive, Esper, swear to God
You'll never feel so

Helpless (I do, I do, I do, I do)

That's a bold-faced lie, Jefferson thought as he gritted his teeth in order not to say anything. When they got to the point where he had the affairs, then he would speak up but not now. Now wasn't the time.

Esper
Helpless (I do, I do, I do, I do)
I've never felt so
Helpless (yeah, yeah)
Down for the count
And I'm drownin' in 'em (down for the count, I'm-)

Yo, my life is going fine 'cause Esper's in it
I look into your eyes
And the sky's the limit, I'm
Helpless
Down for the count and I'm drownin' in 'em

In New York, you can be a new man
In New York, you can be a new man
In New York, you can be a new man

Helpless

Everyone smiled at the end of the song, hearts swarming with joy for the married couple. Eliza, however, was enraged. How come Esperanza got Hamilton and she didn't? She deserved him far more than she did! Besides, she had Lafayette who she could marry, as well as Burr, Laurens, and Mulligan. How come she got Hamilton instead?

She didn't have much more time to dwell on it as they moved to the next song.
