Ch.27

"Ms.Bell, is there something funny?" Ms.Garf asks me while giving me a dirty look

"No ma'am." I shake my head

I look back over to the door and try to stifle my giggles. Luke keeps popping up and making horrid faces at me. He's going to get me in trouble!

Just as I thought he was done he comes up again with a face worse than before.

"Stop." I mouth to him while giggling

He shakes his head 'no' and disappears again. I decide to do the smart thing and look away. Class is almost over anyways so I gather my stuff and help clean up the paper we used today.

"Thank you Ms.Bell." Ms.Garf says, her voice monotone

"Your welcome." I reply politely even though I hate her

The bell doesn't ring until three more minutes so I just hang around the door. Luke went off somewhere so now I can stand by the door without laughing.

"Hey." I turn around and see Harry in front of me

"Uh, hi there." I give him a small smile and I'm surprised when he returns it

"You look, confused." He stares at me with his piercing green eyes

"Umm.... no, I just, I'm fine." I look away from his gaze

"You are the worst liar in history of liars." He smiles showing dimples

"Pfft, I wasn't lying." I purse my lips

"You're lying right now. This is amusing." He laughs causing crinkles by his eyes

"You don't know that." I put a hand on my hip

"Oh but I do, Ms.Bell. Why is that hand on your hip? Is that sass?" He mimics me and puts a hand on his hip

"No." I shake my head

"Yes." He nods

"No."

"Yes."

"Whatever." I stick my tongue out at him

*Bell Rings*

"See you later." I open the door but he grabs my forearm

"Wait, I didn't get your first name. I know your last name since you keep getting in trouble." He smirks playfully

"Lily." I roll my eyes at his remark but smile anyways

He nods and drops his hand from me and I take that as a cue to leave.

He wasn't a douche at all.

When I step outside the room, Luke is leaning on the brick wall playing with his hair waiting for me.

"You should cut that." I walk up to him

"You don't like my hair?" He pouts

"No, I hate it!" I growl

"Did you just growl at me?" He squints his eyes at me

"Yeah I did, what are you going to about?" I say in my best Jersey accent

"Nothing." He whistles

"Mhm." I speed up pace because I wanted to skip and if I didn't I would get left behind.

After about ten seconds of skipping I stopped, my legs were getting tired. Suddenly I feel a pair of hands tickle my sides. I trip over my own foot but I don't care right now, I'm laughing too hard. I squeeze my eyes shut and try to breathe. I reopen my eyes when Luke stops to crack his knuckles. I crawl away from and hide behind a pole.

"Oh I wonder where Lily went off to?" I know this was a stupid place to hide. I'm getting hungry so I just step out from behind the pole.

"Come on Luke stop playing, I'm hungry." I reach my hand out to grab his but quickly pull it back when I realize what I'm doing. My face has probably gone red.

"Were you going to hold my hand?" He walks up to me

"N-no, I was just going to drag you up here with me but I promise I wasn't going to hold your hand. I would've asked you first. Well maybe, you never know. Wow I'm embarrassed! Can we just hurry up, we already missed like ten minutes of lunch and-" I talk quickly but I'm cut off by Luke's finger pressed against my lips

"Hush my little rose, stop rambling." He grins

"Rose?" I'm confused

"Oh yeah, your my little rose cause you always smell like roses. In a good way of course, unless you think roses smell bad? I don't think they smell bad so, I guess you can say I'm saying you smell amazing. Wait no, I'm mean yes! Yes you smell amazing like roses! So what I'm trying to say is-" This time I cut him off by pressing my fingers against his lips

"Hush my adorable penguin. Thank you for saying, whatever you said." I giggle

"You came up with penguin?" He smiles

"Yeah, just now!" I exclaim

"Ok my little rose lets go eat for only five minutes." He gives me a thumbs up with a sarcastic smile
