Ch.31

"So does anyone know the answer?" Mrs.Bridget asks us

No one raises their hand so I raise mine instead.

"The GCF is eight." I answer

"Thank you. What do you get when you divide?" She looks at me

"Three plus eight x." I say with clear boredom

I already learned this stuff! Why can't we move on to something more challenging.

For the remainder of class we continue to do problems until the bell rings. In the last few minutes before it does ring I feel, wet. On my butt.

A small joint of pain goes through my stomach. I let out a low groan of pain but cover it up by coughing.

Everyone was staring at me.

*Bell Rings*

I wait for everyone to leave but a few boys keep messing around and won't begone.

Finally they leave and I stand up. I look down at my seat and see red.

Blood.

Period.

I mouth the word 'fuck' to it instead of saying it. I never cursed in my twelve years of life. I walk shyly to Mrs.Bridget with my head down and my cheeks burning.

"Um-excuse me, Mrs.Bridget?" I glance at her but quickly look back down. My hands feel sweaty.

"Yes." She doesn't look up at me since she's grading papers.

"I think I might've, just gotten, my blood on your chair." She looks up at me with her big eyes

I move my hand towards the chair and her gaze follows. She makes an 'O' shape with her mouth and looks back at me.

"It's fine. Don't worry, I don't have a class this period." She walks away from me to grab her keys

"Come on, we'll just go out this back door so no one will see us." She motions for me to follow her

We walk outside and the soft wind hits me in the face.

"Oh it's a little chilly outside." She sighs

We walk around the school and end up in the front. We walk inside and luckily no students are here.

"Have you guys seen Ms.V?" Mrs.Bridget asks the ladies at the front desk

"Uh, I think she's over there." The lady points to her right

We both walk over there but find the hallways empty.

"I'll be back. I'm going to go to find her." She assures me

I lean my head against the wall and let out a heavy sigh. This is so embarrassing! So this is what it feels like to have a period...this sucks. I thought Selena said periods hurt a lot. I barely felt anything, she's such a baby. All of a sudden my stomach grumbles out of hunger and I wince.

I don't think having an empty stomach while you're on you period is a good mix.

After what it feels like ages Mrs.Bridget comes back with a lady, I'm assuming Ms.V, and we walk in a room full of junk.

"Hi I'm Ms.V, are you ok?" She kindly asks me

I try to speak but my voice is gone so I nod instead.

"Do you know what a period is?" She places a hand on my upper arm with a concerned look

"Yeah I guess." I reply quietly

"Ok, do you want to wear some of our school bottoms or call mom?" She asks me

Go home with my mother that is stressed or stay here at school with four cuties that have an Australian accent? Well I'm really tired and my mother isn't busy. Then again, four boys. But I will see them some other day. Wait, what if Cassandra tries to do something? There's nothing to worry about Luke doesn't even like her back. Or does he? Another jolt of pain goes through my stomach again.
