Ch.8

After lunch and 4 Australian boys later, I'm walking to my 5th period class. This seems like the longest day ever! When will it end?

I step inside the civics classroom and take a seat in the front. Everyone else piles in a few minutes later and this girl with beach blonde hair sits next to me. She has really bad acne and she smells...great. She has thick, big black glasses that is pushed way too high on her nose. Her books spread out everywhere and she doesn't bother to move them out of my space. No one else is sitting in the seat next to her. I don't know why she is super close to me.

She turns around and looks at me. She smiles and starts talking.

"Hi I'm Penny." she has a little country accent.

"What's your phone number?" she asks me.

I don't even know her.

Being me, I give her my phone number. When I say I can't say no, I really can't deny people. Unless I hate them...but I have no reason to hate her except she's upsetting my nostrils.

"I'll probably text you later tonight Lily. My phone gets taken away at 8 o'clock." she informs me.

How does she know my name? She's freaking me out now. I wonder if Conner told her, but he doesn't even know me. Unless he really is a stalker.

"Ok." I keep my responses short. I don't want to keep talking to her.

My bad luck continues.

She keeps asking me random questions that I don't care about. I just want to hurry up and get this class over with.

The teacher comes from a room and finally gets things started. I almost fall asleep. I didn't think it would be this boring. I realize how boring it is when my head lands on the table and I quickly fall asleep...

I'm nudged awake by someone. It's Penny.

"Class is almost over. I wanted to wake you up before the bell rings so you wouldn't get in trouble." she tells me.

"Oh, thank you so much." I smile at her. She is so nice to me.

She smiles back at me. Seconds later the bell rings and she runs out of the classroom. She didn't even push in her chair. I'm mad at myself for falling asleep. I missed everything!

I walk out, pushing my chair in before I leave, across to life science.
