Ch.34

Friday

As soon as I get out of photog class I run to the end of the sidewalk. It was the longest class period of my life. I spot Luke as I near the corner of the sidewalk to enter the hallways.

"WOO I'M FINALLY FREE!" I yell as soon as I'm right beside him

"Free from what?" He gives me a crazed look as we walk together to the locker room

"My pe-" I quickly cover my mouth with my hand. I was about to tell him my period. I was about to tell him my period. I WAS ABOUT-

"Lily?" Luke waves his hand in front of my face, trying to catch my attention

I clear my throat,"Yeah?"

"You never finished your sentence?" He chuckles while furrowing his brows

"Oh, nothing." I fan the air

"That didn't sound like nothing." He looks at me suspiciously

"Really it's nothing." I avoid his gaze, knowing that I will tell him by looking into his blue eyes

Before we enter the separate locker rooms Luke gets my attention.

"I will find out Lily Bell."

"If you say so."

"Is this even real meat?!" Calum stares at his burger with wide eyes

"Doubt it." Ashton replies

Currently it's lunch time and Calum keeps complaining about his food. It's only been three minutes.

"Shut up you hairless cat." Michael says with his mouth full

"No talking with your mouth full!" I exclaim

"What do you mean hairless cat?" Calum pouts

They don't even listen to me.

"Calum can't grow any hair on his body!" Ashton yells to the top of his lungs causing attention

"Shut up, yes I can everyone!" Calum also yells

"Guys!" I shout at the both of them getting annoyed

They don't hear me because they are literally, screaming at each when they are sitting next to each other. Instead of yelling again, I stomp over to the other side and grab both of their shirts, scaring the crap out of them.

"Oh my damn!" Ashton shields his face

"Hush!" I take a lot of breaths, trying to calm down

"Yes mommy." Calum looks down at his feet

"Now that I have your attention, no more yelling!" I exclaim

"But you're yelling." Ashton mumbles

"I wasn't yelling. I'm just talking like a normal person." I purse my lips

"Lily, you have known us for two months. I think you should know we are anything but normal." Calum looks up at me

"I know you guys are crazy idiots but please no more screaming in the lunchroom. I do NOT want you to get in trouble." I scold them

"Are you on your period?" Calum asks me

"What?-no!" I let go of their shirts while blushing, of course

"Calum, you dumb bony fish, she just got off her period." Ashton takes Calum's face in his hands

"Umm....no I didn't. I didn't even start." I walk back to my seat and grab my sandwich

"You're lying!" Luke points accusingly at me

"It's none of your business!" I bite at his finger, but dodges, which he quickly moves out of reach from my mouth

"No biting." He mumbles

"So you really were on your period! No wonder why you were walking so weird, or complaining every five seconds, or screaming at us every three seconds more than usual." Michael hypothesize

"It's none of your business." I repeat, taking a sip of my expired milk since I forgot a stupid juice box at home

"It's true. Guess who's smart now!" Michael raises the roof

"Mikey, just because you figured out when she was on her period does not mean you are smart." Ashton rubs his temples

"Well way to bum me out..." Michael continues to stuff his face instead

"Haha, bum." Calum chuckles

"Shut up Asian." Michael steals a chip from my bag

"You know if your stomach ever hurts I could, um, always give you a stomach massage." Luke mutters timidly, grabbing my attention, looking anywhere else but me

"If you want." I reply quietly

"Then ok."

"Alright."

"Just date already." I fall backwards while squeaking like a mouse because Michael the ninja over here, wants to whisper in my ear without warning

"Michael what the flip!" I yell at him

"No yelling Lily, we wouldn't want you to be getting in trouble now, would we?" Michael says in a high-pitched tone, I'm assuming he's trying to sound like me

"Shut up Michael." I roll my eyes

Luke stands up and offers his hand but Michael pushes his hand away.

"I got this mate." Michael reaches for my hand and pulls me up while Luke sits back down, his eyes glaring at Michael

I dust myself off and pack up my stuff since we spent most of the time screaming, talking, and some more screaming.

"Everyone come to my house after school." Calum says as we head out of the lunchroom

"Why?" I ask

I'm a curious person.

"No reason, just tired of going to Luke's." Calum replies casually

"Woah Calum." Michael smirks

Luke quickly places his hands and arms over my ears. More like my entire head

"I'm confused." I furrow my eyebrows

Ashton turns to me to speak but I can't really hear him since Luke is covering my whole head with his body.

Which is really soft by the way. Teach me your ways.

I take Luke's hands off of me but keep them in my hands, just so I could hear Ash.

"What did you say?" I tilt my head slightly

"I said, stay the way you are babe." He repeats himself again, dimples protruding

Ash is the cutest brother ever, even though we aren't related, he's still a brother like the rest of them.
