Xander knew that Seth didn't understand the full extent of what he had explained. It would take a while for it all to sink it but until then he would make sure that the boy knew he was still the same person that he fell for despite the guns and wealth. Xander was tired, he had spent the last few weeks ensuring that the people who had taken a hit at Seth were ruined and paid for what they did.
"Seth," he called.
"Hm?"
"I'm sorry for interrupting you work amor but when do you think you'll be done?"
Xander felt bad for keeping Seth inside all the time but it was the only way he knew to keep him safe until he had everything sorted. He would now take this opportunity to do something nice for him. They had barely spent any time together over the last 4 weeks, Xander being out as early as 4 a.m. and not coming back until Seth was fast asleep.
"In a bit, I have some simulations to complete," he said typing away on his laptop.
"I'd like to take you out for dinner tonight amor, if you'll let me."
Seth's head snapped up instantly, he definitely wasn't expecting it, "Y-yeah, of course."
"Great," Xander grinned at him, "I'm going to make a phone call, I'll be back."
Seth hummed in response watching him go into the bedroom, softly closing the door behind him. He was feeling giddy, he could hardly take note of the oscillations for his lab. He had been dying to spend some time with Alexander and this would be a great opportunity to catch up since he's been so busy. Seth got to work, the faster he got this done, more time with Xander.
Seth managed to finish all his work before 6 p.m. and Xander had told him that dinner was at 7:30, he had some time to kill. He got up from the desk and walked over to the bedroom, knocking lightly on the door.
"Ven amor," Xander said.
"Are you okay?"
"I am, are you?"
Seth nodded his head, "I finished all my work and I'm excited for our date."
He stared at Xander and bit his lip, he was so good looking in the plain black t-shirt he had on. Seth just wanted to rip all of his clothes off, it had been so long since he had been touched.
"Me too, baby."
Seth sauntered over to Xander who was sitting on the edge of the bed and sat in his lap, wrapping his arms around Xander's neck.
"Hello there," Xander held him by his waist.
"Hi."
Xander pressed a kiss to his lips but Seth had stopped him from pulling away by pulling him close and deepening the kiss. A low groan came from Xander who moved to lift Seth so that the boy was now straddling his hips.
"Can we?" Seth whispered out of breath.
Alexander looked at him, as if he was contemplating. Seth felt a pang in his chest that his first reaction wasn't to say yes. He removed his arms from around Xander's neck and lifted himself up to leave the room.
"Stop," he grabbed his arms, "I want to make sure we're okay in all other aspects amor, believe me, I think about touching you all the time but we must get past the basics and sex can come after."
Seth rolled his eyes but sighed in defeat, he was right. Knowing himself he'd overthink it too much if anything bad were to happen afterwards. Not to mention that they had barely had a proper conversation in weeks.
