Seth stood by the bus stop waiting, he'd been there for at least an hour and his legs were starting to get tired from standing, all the benches had been occupied by other people. When he saw the number 23 bus he felt as if his legs would give out from relief. He stepped on and to his dismay all the seats were either taken by a parent and their kid, couples, friends or just people's bags.
Until his eyes landed on an empty seat. He sat down as fast as he could and put his bag in his lap, his leg touching the person beside him. He looked up to meet a glare.
"Sorry," Seth moved to the edge of the seat in fear.
The bus jerked forward, carrying Seth along with it, he fell with a thud groaning from having hit his head on the seat before him. He cursed himself for being so unaware and put a hand to his head to find that he'd been bleeding. Seth couldn't stand the sight of blood.
"Hey, are you okay?" someone said, "Hey!" the voice was getting farther and farther until it faded and he fell into slumber.

Seth woke up groaning in pain. His eyes adjusted to the blinding light in the room and he could hear chatter, screams, wailing and even arguments. He sat up and in the chair beside the bed sat the guy with the intense glare on the bus who was now staring intently at him.
"Hey," he addressed him, "Can you tell me exactly what happened?"
"You fell off your seat on the bus and hit your head," he stated as his face remained stoic.
Seth finally took in his surroundings and the guy beside him as well. He was dressed in a black pullover and black jeans, raven hair, hazel eyes and olive skinned.
"Thanks for taking me to the hospital," he swung his leg over the bed and stood up only to fall back onto the bed.
"Careful," he stood from his chair and helped Seth up slowly onto his feet.
"Thanks man," he reached into his back pocket for his wallet and started for the desk.
"I took care of the bill already," he said "I'm in a bit of a rush so you can just sign the papers, I hope you recover soon."
Seth only nodded in response and muttered a thank you once more before going to sign his discharge papers.

Seth pushed the key into his apartment door and trudged in. His head was splitting, they gave him a little medication and he had to go back to the hospital to remove his stitches in five days.
Why did he have to be so afraid of people's reactions? If only he'd just ignored the guy and sat in his seat he wouldn't have been in this position.
He definitely wasn't going to shower tonight, he didn't think he could even make it to his bed. He went to the kitchen and took his medication as prescribed then sat back in the couch closing his eyes and let sleep take him away.
}{
Seth stared at himself in the mirror and thought to himself how he would explain the massive white gauze on his forehead to his friends. He looked away from the mirror and walked out of the bathroom. He grabbed a bottle of water and his bag then headed for the bus stop.
As he stood waiting, he checked his messages and realized he had several missed calls and texts from his friends. They were about last night's frat party on campus, but it wasn't like he would've gone even without his injury.
He put his phone back into his bag and sighed gleefully upon seeing the bus. He stepped on after swiping his card and his face fell at the current situation he was faced with. All the seats were taken except one. The one that caused him the hell he was going through right now. He hadn't realized he was standing in the aisle until someone cleared their throat.
"Young man, take a seat or hold on please," the bus driver eyed him.
He took all the strength in his body and moved toward the seat beside the guy. Seth probably looked like some idiot to him. He felt small.
"Your head feels better now?" a voice pulled him from his thoughts.
"Yeah, thanks again."
He nodded and didn't try to make any more pointless conversation whereas Seth sat for the entire ride feeling self-conscious as always.
}{
The bus was nearing his stop and as Seth reached to press the buzzer, a hand beat him to it. Maybe they were going to the same place? He took a moment to analyze the guy. He was in another pullover but this time white, black jeans and a black bag in his lap. Seth couldn't guess his age clearly but he put a bet on 26.
He stepped off the bus with the guy right behind him and they suddenly fell in step with each other. Did they go to the same college? Seth continued on his way, sneaking glances at the guy, he really did feel like nothing compared to him.
He was much taller, he had a solid 6 inches on him and Seth himself was 5'11", he was downright good looking, not that Seth didn't think he was attractive but he called himself more of a cute guy than hot, and it was obvious that he was fit. Seth was on the track team so he was relatively fit but this guy looked like he could crush him in any sport.
Seth realized they were both still walking together and that's when he decided to open his mouth but he was beat to it, again.
"You go to Norwood too?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm in aeronautical science."
He wanted to slap himself, it sounded as if he was showing off.
"Nice, you must be on top of your game then," the corners of his mouth turned up.
"Well everyone has to be on top of their game to even get into Norwood," Seth shrugged "Seth, by the way."
He couldn't care less who you were.
"Xander, Alexander," he said as they got into the heart of campus "I'm in medicine, see you around Seth."
"Yeah sure," Seth responded as they went in separate directions.
Small world.
