"Get that headband! This will look cute on you!" Jaehyuk exclaims, pointing at a tiger-ears headband in this mini store at the carnival.
"I'll get this only if you wear this pink tiara." Asahi grabs a pink disney princess tiara he saw just across the tiger headbands. A small smirk flashing on to his face clearly seeing disgust on his face.
"What? No! That's for little girls, do I look like one to you?!" Jaehyuk snatches the tiger headband from him and placed it back to it's spot then angrily stomps his way out when Asahi grabbed his arm.
"Where are you going?" He blankly stared at the latter, head slightly tilting as he let go of the tiara, afraid of scaring away the younger with it.
Jaehyuk just pouted in response, clearly sulking and wanting to be babied by the older. "Jaehyuk? Talk to me."
To his dismay, Jaehyuk just turned his back with arms crossed like a stubborn kid who couldn't get his favorite ice cream. Sighing, he took out something from his pocket, "Wear this instead." He reached for his hand and made the younger turn around.
"You won't mind wearing an engagement ring during our date, right?"
Jaehyuk stood there like a rock. Mouth agaped, feeling different things in one setting, he couldn't believe what was beyond his eyes.
A shining ring with three jewels twinkling like the stars implanted onto the round jewelry for his ring finger.
It felt like time froze, his mind not properly processing the things happening. "Jae, I'd like to spend the remaining hours I have of my life with you."
"It's not so much, but I promise it'll be the best time of your life." tears were slowly forming onto their eyes. "And you said you wanted to experience getting married, so I'll make it happen. If it's you, I'll do anything... just to make you happy."
Bitter smiles and salty tears, you couldn't tell if it was happy or not, but what the two knew was that they loved each other, so much.
"That's why I never loved again." Jaehyuk says. "Because my definition of love is him, just him."
"I'm sorry for asking, uncle." His nephew apologizes, not knowing about the dark past he had. "It's okay, take this as a lesson to love everyone unconditionally, show them you love and care for them every time because you don't know how much days they have left."
He paused and flashed a small smile before touching the ring on his finger, "Because life is a just matter of time."
